Our delightful new little cabin in the jungle is all set up and ready to be enjoyed :) Nestled on an organic family farm about 15 minutes from Pahoa town. Located within a day's drive to anywhere on the island. Also a convenient location to stay while checking out the new lava flow into the ocean near Kalapana!
There are 3 cabins on the property that sleep 2 each in case you have more people in your group. Check our profile.

This cozy cabin was just built in 2016. Located on a lush organic family farm in a beautiful jungle setting.
The cabin features golden railings from bamboo we harvested on the property. Along with a bed made out upcycled Californian redwood.
We are located about a 15 minute drive from Pahoa town, and about 15 minutes from the ocean and warm thermal ponds. We offer airport pick ups and drop offs for a small fee, and also provide vegetarian meals, yoga and massage therapy sessions upon request. Please arrive before sunset to get oriented and checked in. Check out our other listing "Cozy Private Jungle Cabin with View" for more reviews of our farm. *Please note that our property is located about 1 mile down a dirt road. Most of our guests manage fine driving it with sedan type rental cars, however vehicles with higher clearance are recommended.

Great places to check out nearby us include:
~ Kehena Black Sand Beach for sunbathing, swimming with dolphins & whales, and Sunday drum circle.
~ Kalani Eco-Retreat has Ecstatic dances, yoga and a spa and pool.
~ Ahalanui Warmponds - geothermally heated warm ponds.
~ The famous "Red Road," one of the most beautiful coastal drives!
~ Kalapana "Uncle Robert's" authentic local Hawaiian Style weekly Farmer's Markets on Wednesday Nights, and Saturday Mornings featuring the live local music, delicious foods & crafts, and Uncle's Awa (Kava) Bar, a great way to experience the community.
~ Historic Pahoa Town, for all your essential needs, groceries, health food store, pharmacy, banks and restaurants.
~ Mermaid Ponds, Tide pools, Lava tree State Park, Mauna Kea for sunrise (the tallest mountain in the world when measured from under sea level!), ~Hilo tide pools to swim with the giant sea turtles, and Volcano National Park, etc. are all within a drive..

Accesso ospiti

There are solar lights in the cabin, no electrical plugs, however at the Bath House there are plugs to charge up your phones, etc. There are a variety of fruit trees on the property so depending on the season you'll be able to try some fresh tropical goodies as well :) Tucked away from the main road you'll be able to engulf yourself in the sweet sound of nature and enjoy the true meaning of island life.
We can provide drinking water but unfortunately the kitchen is not available for use. You're welcome to bring your own cooler to your cabin porch. Please no food in cabin. We have ice blocks we can provide.

Interazione con gli ospiti

We will gladly help to get you acquainted and comfortable but allow guests to mostly navigate independently once they've got their bearings. Interact at your level of comfort and come and go at your leisure, we are easy going. This is an active, small, family-run, organic farm that often have volunteers and we will be busy with projects on the land most days. We are usually around to help answer questions and help guests get orientated but please be mindful of our time as we are working. We also, on occasion, have other family, friends and other guests staying with us too, so sometimes it feels quite festive with all the different walks of life! :)

Altre cose da evidenziare

We live about a mile down a dirt road. Most of our guests do just fine driving in with sedan style rental cars, however we still recommend vehicles with higher clearance.
Also we are off grid, which means we use Solar for electricity and rain catchment for our water supply. Please be mindful of this and plan on charging devices during the day along with limiting shower times during times of drought.

We are located 1 mile down a GRAVEL/DIRT road off of Pohoiki Road, so a 4X4 is recommended or having a vehicle a little higher off the ground.
If you need a pick-up from the Hilo airport, we offer a shuttle fee of $25 upon request.

We do farm tours and sometimes nature walks and we can offer various day tours to local sacred sites around the Puna area on a Donation basis. John is a professional vegetarian chef and offers tasty organic meals inspired by the garden and trees. Ariel offers multi-modality therapeutic Healing Treatments. Be sure to ask for more details :D

We have a friendly farm dog and a locked gate at the entrance that opens outwards. Will give gate code on booking.

Also things you might consider packing are a flashlight or a head lamp, and an umbrella and mosquito repellent for the whole island.

Just a reminder The Hawaii Transient Tax of 13.25% is NOT INCLUDED in your Airbnb fee and will be collected upon arrival. Cash or online.

*Please note there is a $20 late check in fee if you check in much later than 7 pm. We've been up late many times waiting for guests to arrive and it throws off our morning schedule so please arrive on time to avoid this fee!

I had a great time staying on the farm. The cabin was clean and surrounded by Hawaiian nature and wildlife. We got to enjoy some of the fruits growing on the farm and even saw some wild pigs on our way in. The shower area is enclosed but part of the top is open so showering under the stars was an awesome experience. Loved my stay here. It was definitely a highlight of my trip to Hawaii.

This place is a 5 billion star location ;) never seen so many stars in the sky before because of light pollution, truly amazing. First time using Airbnb for us and it was truly one of the most amazing experience of our lives. Saw all the raving reviews and it was in alignment with the kind of trip we wanted to experience. The cabins are nestled on a beautiful organic farm that has been planned and laid out thoughtfully and artfully. With plenty of space between neighbouring cabins and structures, we felt like we were living in a slice of heaven. Beautiful views of nature and surrounded by different sounds of birds (daytime) and frogs (nighttime). MUST HAVE BREAKFAST AND DINNER AT LEAST ONCE if they are offering. Worth every dollar, freshest, tasiest, dreamy food :) breakfast is delivered to your cabin to eat on the porch and dinner is on the beautiful space at the main structure. Outdoor showers were perfect. Easy to get around the island with a car and a few nice spots in pahoa town to get food and coffee that's only a 10 min drive away and hilo is amazing along with the rest of the island. John and Ariel are an amazing couple that have created heaven on earth through their vision, great communicators with full of information that made our trip memorable for a lifetime. Thanks again and we love you!
