Welcome pack of wine, cheese & bread, plus tea & coffee on arrival. We'll happily help you find your way around if you want pointers, or leave you to explore, whatever you prefer! By staying at Snowgums you benefit from a wealth of local knowledge and experience from owner Pippa who has lived here for many years. It's a bit like having your own personal tourist information service, and means you can find out quickly about the best places to go, best restaurants to go to, and lots of interesting tips besides. We live in the same building and will be delighted to welcome you, to help you find your feet, and point you in the direction of all that you need. If you have young children that need minding after ski school then I provide in-house childcare, picking them up from ski school, feeding them a healthy lunch and snacks (organic mostly), and keeping them entertained until you are back later in the day. Prices on request.
Altre cose da evidenziare
We are happy to welcome dogs FOC, on the understanding that they are well behaved and don't damage furnishings.
We ask clients not to wear shoes in the apartments, and for all ski boots and skis to be left in the ski boot room.
No ski waxing inside, or in ski boot room - we can provide tressles for this to be done outside.
For health and safety reasons the whole building is no-smoking.
After over 20 years in London as head of communications, for the most part in sustainable development, escaping at weekends and holidays to climb, I finally made the move - to the Alps! We live in a wonderfully underdeveloped part of the southern French Alps, a well-kept secret! It is stunning, magical, with all amenities and everything you'd want from an Alpine holiday, but with the Provencal climate we have 300 days of sunshine a year, so it is fab! We love it here, loads of history, gorgeous wild mountains, but civilised enough to have a bathe in the thermal spa 10 minutes from here, or go to Italy for lunch, a cool 15 minutes away. On average a holiday here costs 20% less than in the more well-known and busier Savoie in the northern French Alps. With fantastic skiing for all levels and great options for summer holidays - hiking, cycling, swimming - in mountain lakes, excellent swimming pool, climbing, picnics, this is an unbeatable location for your holidays at any time of year. If you want to visit an authentic mountain valley, with real villages, history and soul, rather than a purpose-built resort, then Briancon / Serre Chevalier is for you! We would love to welcome you to one of our beautiful apartments in our old farmhouse, right in the heart of it all.
