Coming from the airport, travel south ( turn right onto Hwy 11) toward Kailua Kona town, about 10 miles.
Turn right on Palani road. Stay in the left / middle lanes to go straight through next 2 lights, this curves along past the King Kamehameha Hotel and becomes Alii Drive, travel past the pier along the sea wall, Hulihee Palace, Kona Inn Shopping area. Go straight at the 3 way stop sign,
watch for Bubba Gump’s restaurant on your right (ocean side) and St Michael’s
Church on the left. Just past the church on your left (mountain side) you will see a bright orange sign: (at night there are tiki torches lit along the rock wall)
“Kona Islander Inn”, turn left there. Press button for gate to open, it has a slight delay while security takes your picture (smile!)
Park as close to the bottom gate as possible. You are staying in the oceanfront building, called the Kauai building, unit #144.
The lobby is in the building at the top of the complex, you will need to check in at the security desk in the lower level of the lobby for your key card, register your car/get your parking pass. Security desk is open 24 hours. They can help you find a parking place if you check in late.
Please print this and bring it with you. Also, keep my phone number with you if
you need anything while you are here, be sure to call me. The front security desk can
help with general information, but they do not manage my unit.

Mahalo for choosing to stay with us! We strive to make our little place as comfortable for you as possible. Please let us know if you have any questions and if there is anything you need for your insured enjoyment during your stay. Below is some general information about our unit and the complex.

Check in: Check in at the desk in the lower lobby area. Regular check in time is 3pm, please contact Lisa, , if you would like an earlier check in and/or late check out time.
Front Desk: The front desk in the lower lobby is available to assist you with check in/out, directions and answering general questions. Front desk phone number: . If you need anything for the room, have maintenance issues or any questions, please call owner/manager, Lisa Week
Parking: There is limited free parking and is by permit only, register your car and get your parking pass when you check in from the desk in the lower level of the lobby. They can direct you to additional nearby areas to park.
Pool, Spa & BBQ: These facilities are open from 9am-9pm. Your key card opens gate.
Quiet time from 10pm to 8am
Security: There are security cameras in operation on the property and Security personnel are available from 5pm-7am phone:
Emergencies: Dial 911 for police and fire emergencies Police non-emergency:
Maintenance/Housekeeping: Upon checking in if you find any maintenance or housekeeping issues that need attention, please contact owner/manager, Lisa Week .
Internet: There is free wireless internet in the lobby and pool area. Most nearby coffee shops have free Wi-Fi as well.
Laundry: The coin operated laundry facility is located at the top of the complex. There is a change machine and soap dispenser. Your key card opens the door.
Garbage: Our warm climate encourages insects so we ask you to do your part in keeping them at bay by keeping the screen door closed, keeping food covered tightly or in the refrigerator and removing trash daily. The garbage dumpster is located at the exit of the upper parking lot.
No Smoking: This is a non-smoking complex- there is smoking allowed outside the complex gates at Alii drive or up on Kuakini Hwy above the lobby area.
Check out: Check out time is 11am unless you have made arrangements for later check out, your key card will not work after 11am. Please remove trash to dumpster and turn off lights, AC and fansMahalo for staying with us at the Kona Islander Inn

This is a hidden gem right in the heart of Kona! So enjoyed our stay at Lisa's place. It was clean, a great location, beautiful view and lovely grounds and pool. We also loved listening to the crashing waves at night! Hope to return for another stay sometime!

This studio is everything that you need Central to everything Kona has to offer Our stay was awesome and Lisa is amazing I highly recommend this to anyone that is looking to stay on this beautiful island Mahalo Lisa

My husband and I LOVED our time at Lisa's place, and loved that we could seriously walk anywhere! The place was the perfect size for just us two, and the view out our door was incredible. The pictures really don't do it justice!! We would definitely recommend this place to anyone and use it again ourselves :)

Location was great with a view of the ocean which was a bonus. Lots of amenities close by and free parking. We enjoyed the pool and use of the BBQ.

We are older folks, homebodies, who came to Kona for our daughter's wedding. Something about Lisa's place made us feel right at home. It is simple, on the ground floor with easy access, and gave people like us, who'd never been to Hawaii before, a rich taste of beautiful sunsets, soft ocean air, crashing surf lullabies and a tropical garden - All from the lanai. There is also a lot of foot and vehicle traffic along Alii Dr,, just beyond the garden outside the lanai. Great people watching! Very convenient to all manner of restaurants, coffee houses, markets etc. I would gladly rent Lisa's place again and recommend it to anyone who loves the sea.
