Let me state that" happy with no complaints-loved the place guests" had left the house 4 days before Christy checked in !!! As a super host I asked Christy 3 hours after her arrival how she found the house and if she needed anything to make her stay more enjoyable. She said everything was fine. I left her my phone number and additional info on the house and said to please call me if you have any issues, I was 2 miles away. The next morning I stopped by again to ask the same question and she was tired, said the kids couldnt sleep and they had National finals in rifle shooting etc and they needed sleep. The tree people scared them and racoon deterrent (trash) too. I immediately removed the deterrent and went in to remove the art. She said never mind she was leaving, they needed to sleep and one child had slept in her bed. (She never stated a musty smell, inhaler all night or dirty tub. That all came later stated to Airbnb in dispute resolution) I offered to only charge her the weekend 2 nights instead of 1 (Thursday) that she stayed because I was not able to rent for the weekend now and she got mad, but my offer was fair, she had scheduled 8 days and would only get back 50%upon cancellation of her reservation. My offer was much better for her! I resubmitted her an offer in the site that was fair and right. She never answer me! She never canceled her reservation so my calendar was tied up too. Because she stopped communicating with me I had to ask for Resolution from AIrbnb, They made the decision of the 50% remaining days oops.
As to the rest of her claims she miss quotes me and exaggerates ! Yes she is mad to not get back all her money, but my offer was fair and generous! I did not have to make her that offer but I care about your experience, its my living wage! She should have taken it!!
Now for the other (Website hidden by Airbnb) note was very helpful and said it had been a wet spring so please leave the fan on because its a little musty. I have had the basement tested and it has no mold, its just an older house that is maintained well when you do as the host suggests with the furnace/air conditioner that is 5 yrs old. NO one has ever complained about the air/art as allergy concerns and guests just had the property 4 days before Christy/ LOL AS I STATED the website is new, I had not even seen it yet and the farm store hours etc were removed as soon as I was alerted. (I do plan on this property being off AIRbnb one day and selling my herbs and art to the public) The house is not open to the public at all! The herbs and salves are for sale to guests and my massage clients who I see here when the house is not rented. LOL again Plaster is not falling from the ceiling (drama dear yes it passed inspection LOL) it is the old outer ceiling paper covering but it has never been water damaged. it is adorably covered with a large sticker of planets and universe which most guest love. Yes I left you a note about the bathtub stated "this looks messy but is clean (try to tell the truth Christy please, such exaggeration!) because I refinished it myself and its slightly peeling on the bottom which I covered with a extra large bath mat. Guests think its perfectly fine and there are another 2 full bathrooms to use until I can fix it. The internet works fine! It needed a 5 minute adjustment if you would have just communicated that and let me help you! Full of junk?? It is very neat and tidy and super clean! The front porch was clearly stated it was off limits! There is a 6 ft foldable table laying on the floor the last guests used for a cookout. Wow this is the first time I have ever had a serious complaint adn only one other that suggested I clean the carpet which I had done and then did again with a better cleaner system. Christy is bitter but it could have been so much better for her had she accepted my generous offer.
