Dali has an average altitude of 2090m and a plateau climate with no extreme weathers in both winter and summer. Rainy season usually lasts from July to September with temperature between 20 and 25 degree, and it is advised to take light coat with you in this season. Winter in Dali usually lasts from November to the next February with the temperature between 6 and 22 degree. This season normally has big temperature changes during a day and sometimes it may even snow, so you’d better take some sweaters, thick jersey or warm jackets for your stay. From March to June is the summer time for Dali. You can get away easily with some simple summer clothes plus a thin outfit. One thing you have to REMEMBER and REMEMBER and REMEMBER: we have very strong UV-light and relatively dry climate here in Dali, so keep your sunblock handy, together with your hats and sunglasses.
