1.The room is at fifth floor without elevator, please consider that if you have a big laguage.
2.This is a two bedroom apartment with one bathroom,so we will share the bathroom.
3.The fridge is in my bedroom instead of kitchen because of the size(i know~lol), but just let me know, feel free to use.

Hello, No exactly whatI expected given the previous comments. Not very clean (a lot of dust under the bed for instance, bathtube does not look clean, weir smell). Bed is not comfy at all (seemed like a wooden matress...). The only good aspect is the location downtown.

Dear Marc, I am very sorry that you didn't enjoy your stay, well the feeling is neutral. I know I'm supposed to be diplomatic here, but hell no~NO NO NO,after I had to PICK UP YOUR USED TOILET PAPER and put it in the bin,or/and WIPE OFF YOUR PISS on toilet seat every time go to the toilet for two days, I’m through. My emotions aside, let's think rationally on the facts: First,I can assure you the mattress is not made by wood,me personally have never heard of wooden mattress . It is a wooden structured square on the outside with iron holder inside and actual coconut heald mattress on top. I am aware that Chinese prefer hard mattress for the benefit of healthy back, whereas in the collective west people usually prefer the comfort of a soft mattress. Therefore I have added a long stapled cotton tatami and an additional silk summer quilt beneath the sheet. I have also prepared extra tatami and quilt just in case if my guest prefers even softer bed. If you have opened to communication instead of treating me like your hotel room cleaner you would know. Second, the “a lot of dust under the bed”, will there be dust?maybe, but I have just vacummed under the bed( everywhere i can reach) two days before your arrival, and the clean lady did a deep clean too,I have also checked with the previous guest and I have just checked again, I wonder how did you find it? by looking under the bed,you would have seen it is not a wooden mattress, so you probably did not; by finding dust on your stuff then? how can you be sure it is from my place?while we are on this subject, during your stay, you never changed shoes when coming back from outside, leaving footprint, even on my bathroom carpet, I had to clean the white floor twice a day in common area to keep it relatively clean by my standards. Third, the “bathtub doesn’t seems clean” when you book this place, I have informed you the usual check in time is in the afternoon, but since you have had a long flight the previous guest and I decided to let you in early so you can have a rest and leave your language here. (BTW he was so nice, even woke up at 8 am and pack in his holiday, and leave the place before 10 am and sit in a cafe so you can have your own space, when i informed you this, there is not even a “thanks”)The first day while you were out the clean lady had cleaned everywhere but your room(coz it’s locked), by the time you use the shower I have just finished mine, of course it won’t be as clean as unused. Again, if you have actually replied the msgs I have sent you, I would have ask you do you want to take a shower first.but clearly you did not want to talk to me so I respected your personal space. Fourth, the weird smell you were talking about, I am not sure if you meant the anti-mosquito spry I put during summer before every guest’s arrival , or the moxibustion I use in my room for my strain of lumbar muscles , or my cats that I mentioned in my description, or the almost bursting trash bin in your room that you did not have the curtesy to separate the recycle ones from wet trash? Whatever it is, if you have asked I would explain and try to make it better for you.Again,If you have opened to communication instead of treating me like your hotel room cleaner you would know. I have a few questions here too: 1. Exactly how hard it is to respect someone enough to respect their home and say ‘thanks’? I do not prepare disposable towel and toothbrush out of environmental reasons, so when you did not bring your own towel and decided to use my just washed towel. I held my hair dryer on hottest mode for 30 min in 36C room temperature to dry it faster so you can use it soon and have a good shower&sleep afterwards. Did you show any appreciation or say thanks afterwards ? NO. 2.If my place is so outrageously disappointing as you stated why you did not leave a comment immediately after check out, only by the time I have gave you a four star on communication and house rule?Is it because I am the only guest left you a review and you realized it’s not high rate? 3.Why your comment in public page in english-a language almost everyone understands more or less whereas in private feedback it is French-a language I do not speak? I get the part you want everyone to know my place disappointed you, but if the private feedback’s purpose is helping me improve why not in a language that i understand too? I personally think the core beauty of Airbnb staying is having the basics and by communicating with host to meet your personalized needs during your trip. I can not help someone who does not stick with the facts, nor open to communication. The respect supposed to be neutral, and the communication of standards supposed to go both ways. I will carry the constructive aspects of your accusations to make my future guests more comfortable. But please do not come back. Yours Sincerely Violeta

This place literally is at THE prime location in Shanghai, pretty convenient for those who work at the CBD area, as well as for those who r here to explore the blending of the history and the modern. The location is everything to me, cuz I was doing an internship at the CBD area during my stay and I had to make sure to be punctual every morning. Also this place is like only one block away from the subway station, so this definitely adds some points too. My room was big enough for my large suitcases, and so was the bed. AC’s fine, and I also got those cute little potted plants in the room too. The host is a REALLY NICE person and she got two cute cats too; and by nice I’m saying that she got a good heart and is a very considerate person. Due to my internship plans, I’ve changed my booking time once before my stay and once during my stay, and I just wanna thank the host for being very considerate. Again, I would recommend this place. Location is everything in metropolises.

Violeta was really hospitable, the location of the house was perfect with nice neibourhood. However if you got a big luggage I wouldnt recommend as the building has no lift. Apart from that she was very lovely and helpful.

Hi,everyone, my name is Violeta,I love travel and experience different cultures. Every time i stayed with an airbnb host, i got the chance to feel authentic local life, so I figure it's time to give back. Every time i travel i try to stay in a country at least a month to have a deeper understanding of its culture, so every room I DIY decorated has some aspects of the cultures i experienced. I have stayed in shanghai for 7 years, lived in every district, and now i dont think i will ever leave the former french concession willingly, it's just amazing, lol, also I'm more than confident and happy to provide you the information you need during your stay.
