This lovely sunny apartment in the lower floor of our home has a private entrance and wind protected deck. With ocean and jetty views, it's the place to be for afternoon sunsets and BBQs. It has a small fridge but kitchen is stocked for a cook, complete with two burner stove, convection oven microwave, spices, french press, herb garden, grill and more. There is a pillow top queen mattress and a sofa bed. The place works great for two people but a third or child can be accommodated, with approval. We love animals and people from various walks of life but live in residential area so welcome only well-behaved dogs and people.
The space has lots of windows and is decorated with Mexican folk art and some of Kay's own art. Laundry access is available upon request and private parking is provided. There is a fully equipped kitchen for the chef and a smart TV for movies, music and internet. We have an organic garden and will share herbs and other produce (depending on the harvest cycle). Yaquina Bay State Park is steps away with beach access, the Yaquina Bay Lighthouse, and whale viewing spots with scopes. We can set you up with beach chairs or a crab pot, and have other resources to help you to make the most of your trip.
This private apartment and deck is on the first floor our residence. Access is via the path around the north side of the house at the bottom of the driveway/garden and across your private deck. Catch morning sun in the garden area and enjoy the sunsets and jetty views from your deck. Guests will be provided the code to the door just prior to arrival.

My husband and I moved from Juneau Alaska in 2012 and spend time between here and Mexico. We honor diversity. Richard is an avid cyclist, Tai Chi Instructor and Aquarium interpreter. I am an artist working in textiles and Encaustics. I love to garden and cook. We both enjoy outdoors, canoeing, kayaking, hiking, crabbing, fishing, gardening and great food. We are happy to share our love of Alaska, Newport, Mexico, hot spots, stories and fresh herbs from the garden with you. If you prefer total privacy, we are fine with that too. I offer Art classes in Felting, Eco-Printing and Jewelry.
