*3-night booking (Fri-Sat-Sun) required April 1-November 30* The Moroccan Room (Room #8) is on a private deck off the kitchen in the main house. This room has natural light, a full-sized bed and chair, centrally-controlled air conditioning, ceiling fan, along with digital television and wireless internet. The Moroccan Room has a private ensuite bath. The Moroccan Room is in a very peaceful setting with a fun and colorful Mediterranean flair! All guests must be 21 years of age or older.
The Moroccan Room is one of eight rooms within the inn. The inn is located in the center of a busy urban entertainment district, four miles north of the downtown city center, and six blocks west of the Lake Michigan shores and Belmont Harbor. Wrigley Field, home of the Chicago Cubs, is a ten-minute walk from the inn. The inn is tucked back 140 feet from North Halsted Street and is surrounded by bars, restaurants, retail stores, and other entertainments and attractions.
Guests will have access to their room, of course, bath, common living room space, and a self-serve continental breakfast is served 6:00-10:30am in the kitchen area. We have a lovely front porch with swing seating and an outdoor deck in the garden area.

The innkeeper, Ron, lives on site, and is available in person or via text/call, between 9:00am and 9:00pm. Emergency assistance is available 24/7. Information on area attractions, directions, transport, etc., can be provided. Additionally there are neighborhood maps and guide magazines available. We respect your privacy! We are available when you need us, but if you prefer to be on your own, we certainly value that as well.

We have a three-night minimum on weekends (Friday, Saturday, Sunday nights) March 1 through November 30. Sometimes a two-night or even one-night stay is possible, depending on room inventory availability. Please inquire with us in such cases - sometimes it can work out.

Welcome to The Villa Toscana Chicago! A more detailed House Manual is provided once your reservation is confirmed. Here are some key points to consider:
Office Hours: The office is staffed dependent on guest arrival times, but usually 11 A.M. to 6 P.M. Check-in is 3 P.M. to 6 P.M. unless prior arrangements are made with the Innkeeper.
Inn Policies: All guests must be 18 years of age or older. We do not allow pets. At check-in we require a government-issued photo ID for each guest in the room. We also require a major credit card for incidentals and damages. Always take your key with you! It is indeed possible to lock yourself out, and sometimes we are away from the property. Furniture, inside the inn or outside on the deck or porch, is not to be moved.
Room Cleaning: Each day between 12:00pm and 3:00pm we will service rooms. We ask that you discard food and beverage remnants and packaging either in the kitchen trash can or in one of the black dumpsters underneath the front porch, rather than leaving these items in your room. Note: We do assess a charge if linens, comforters, and/or other room appointments are soiled or damaged beyond repair/cleaning.
Entrance Doors: Your key card opens the entrance door and your room key opens your room. Please be vigilant about making sure the main house door, kitchen door, and the downstairs entry door are securely closed after entering/exiting, for your safety as well as that of the other guests. Please lock the front gate at the street when you exit and enter – simply turn the knob on the inside side of the gate. This is for your safety and helps keep out non-guests. Lost keycards and/or keys will incur a $100 charge, as we must re-key the entire house when this happens. If you accidentally take your key with you, please return it by Next Day FedEx to avoid being charged the re-keying fee.
“After Hours”: Please be considerate of other guests when entering/exiting the house, especially late night 10:00PM to 9:00AM. This is a very old structure (built in 1892) and sounds (including television volume and voices) tend to freely “travel” about the house!
Safety and Security: Please do not admit anyone who may ring the doorbell or knock unless you know they are either a registered guest of the inn or your own visitor. We know when guests are scheduled to check-in and we will be here to receive those guests. If in doubt, please call the Innkeeper.
Guests of Guests: You are responsible for the conduct of your visitors. If you host a visitor, please accompany that individual to one of the main entry-exit doors when they leave. The property is NOT suitable for gatherings, parties, etc. It is a small space.
Breakfast: Self-serve, continental-style breakfast in the kitchen, 6-11 A.M. We offer a variety of breakfast items, located in the refrigerator, along the counter to the right of the sink, and/or on the large counter. This usually includes coffee, tea, milk, juices, boiled eggs, cereals, bagels, muffins, fresh fruit (organic when possible), cheese, and other items available seasonally. Please clean after yourself, in consideration of the next guest to use the area. We regret that cooking by guests is not permitted. The breakfast service will close promptly at 11 A.M. – please plan accordingly. Thank you for not leaving soiled dishes and glasses in rooms – please place in the kitchen sinks each day when finished.
Smoking (including e-cigarettes): Not permitted indoors or within 15 feet of any entrance (City Ordinance). You are welcome to smoke on the deck outside. Candles and incense are also not permitted in rooms.
We have excellent and reliable free wireless throughout the property.
Please leave your room keys on the registration table when you check-out. Check-out time is 12 Noon. If you are taking a late bus, train, flight, etc., we are happy to store your bag(s) until your departure. Please be sure to coordinate this with the Innkeeper *the night prior* to departure day.
