This guest has OCD. I have photographic evidence of the flat being clean, she wanted all the cupboards emptied, furniture removed etc. She used the washing machine for three weeks and broke it. The minute she reported it making a noise, I ordered a new one and arranged to have it installed within 3 days which I think isn't bad. The guest was due to check out by 10am and I had arranged for a new window to be fitted the same day, the guest requested to extend her check out until 12 noon, this is the only reason she had to let the contractors in as she wanted to check out later. I made every effort to please this lady, everything was spotless however she didn't leave it in this stage, the bed wasn't stripped, the toilet wasn't clean, hairs all in the bath and food left in the fridge and microwave. To add to this she asked me if I would purchase another bed or had a put u up for her elderly father. She only booked the apartment for one person. I have had nothing but good reviews in the past. She admitted that it was clean but she found a slipper under the bed and said there were water marks on the cutlery. I went to great lengths to get the new washing machine installed for her so she could do her washing before she left. This has tainted my impression of airbnb I must say but do realise that most people are appreciative and leave the place clean and tidy.
