Imagine staying so close to the heart yet able to enjoy & explore much more interesting places than just the CBD! Great cafes & food, famous Melbourne coffee, a creative array of live music and art, then returning home to serenity, play music or read on the balcony or big comfy couch!
Hi there, and welcome! :) Come stay in this beautiful spacious, quiet, very safe, comfortable and clean, creative 2-story townhouse that was for many years the home to my highly respected and much loved business, Pro Expression Music School & Creative Alliance, so now you will have this ENTIRE FANTASTIC SPACE ALL TO YOURSELF!
Upstairs you get a queen-size bedroom for you (for one or two guests), complete with full ensuite bathroom, a hanging rack in your room with hangers for your clothes; there is also a quiet little alcove-type sitting room and a balcony space if you wish to just sit outside (although the garden beds have been neglected up there the space itself is divine for the mornings or afternoons to just sit and relax in peace whilst still being outside and read a book or enjoy listening to your music or food there in privacy.
Downstairs there is also a beautiful queen size bed bedroom, desk, chair, shelves and hanging space, so this room is also for either one or two guests.. perfect for single travellers that want to stretch out in a bit of luxury, couples, academics, RMIT and Melbourne university students, nurses, Brunswick Savoury School attendees and others working and studying in Melbourne.. it's so easy to get around here.. and also for travellers simply wanting to enjoy and experience Melbourne and be able to retreat to a beautiful and quiet home at the end of a day still close to all the action.
If you require, there is also an extra king single mattress should you be booking for a few guests, and even the couches in the main room are also fairly firm and lovely to sleep on and bedding can be provided if needed.
So this house can be booked for up to 6 people (2 queen size beds, and 2 couches).
All sheets, towels, pillows and quilts all are provided for each guest booked to stay.. There is a large, clean, full bathroom downstairs opposite the single room described;
When you enter my place, you will be standing in a wonderful bright and spacious lounge-room and music room, that (whilst my music school business is on hiatus) is a wonderful space to spread out and relax on a comfy couch with cushions, a high ceiling and floor boards giving the space a beautiful feel, and sit and read a book, listen to music, catch up on emails at the dining table or kick back and have nap.. if you're a music enthusiast and promise to look after and respect my music instruments, there is even a piano to enjoy practicing and playing at!
The kitchen is off to the side before going through to the single bedroom, bathroom and upstairs area. The tranquil atmosphere of my place is perfect to ease your senses after your busy days out and about, and for travelling academics, students and professionals looking for some solitude whilst only ever being a short distance from all the action of the big city, nightlife, cafe culture and transport connections. Apart from the occasional people walking past talking, and the odd car, it's otherwise a great, quiet, student and young-family-based neighbourhood :)).
By the way there's also super-fast (the fastest Australia has anyway!) wireless internet - FREE AND FAST WIFI! Also laundry facilities through the garage to the left. Please do not use the garage for anything else other than to gain access to the laundry, as I've had to use it as my private storage! Don't worry though, there is plenty of free street parking directly outside my house - just make sure you don't park over driveways or too close to the corner.. occasional parking officers, you know.. ;)
Perhaps you feel like venturing out, with easy access to city tours and to the Great Ocean Road etc through one of the tour companies in town, or exploring the neighbourhood and the vast number of wonderful offerings, from warm homey cafes, pubs and bars serving awesome coffee, generous servings of fantastic food within 2 minutes walk (hot hearty Melbourne breakfasts and awesome lunches and dinner pub-meals are specialties around most of our local cafes in 5 minutes walk and they're amazing!), see a local band play of an evening within 5 minute walk, check out one of the many surrounding parks, the Melbourne Zoo, or just short tram or train rides away you can get to the Botanical Gardens, a football or cricket game, a local farmer's market, or do some window shopping for goods or food from the shopping districts at each end of our street..
My home is also extremely convenient for students, lecturers, visiting nursing students, nurses and doctors, or culinary students of the Savoury School, Melbourne University and the Royal Melbourne Hospital being within 20 minutes walk or a minute tram ride.. we even have a Chocolate/ pastry school, great local breweries and coffee roasters within just a few minutes walk! And all the cafes have fabulous all-day cooked breakfasts and sweets to die for.. You can't ask for better location for easy access to everything you could possible want, need or have a craving for! :)
Just respect my home, treat it better than yours, clean up after yourself and you can get to enjoy this as your special haven in the heart of Melbourne!
Check in at a time that suits you!! You are given instructions on codes and how to enter, orientate yourselves etc upon confirmation of booking.
As my guest(s), you will be looked after by me personally via online media/ ph and so forth, which I hope to be in contact with you occasionally throughout your stay to make sure all is well and you are happy, and to answer any questions you may have about sightseeing, shopping, nightlife, or anything else :) I will also give you contact details of someone locally in case there is anything urgent you need assistance with. :)

Altre cose da evidenziare
YOU'RE GUESTS STAYING (AND THEREFORE EXPECTED TO TAKE CARE OF) MY WHOLE HOUSE. Please be mindful though that occasionally one of my lovely mother, a trusted friend or my professional cleaner may come upon arrangement for a specific task like collecting my mail or fixing or replenishing something specific for me. You'll be notified so nobody turns up and startles you in your towel! Just understand that the only people that should be in my place are the people listed as part of the booking. ;) It's a fantastic place to stay, just please respect it and respect me as your host by helping me maintain it as best as possible whilst I'm away overseas pretty please? :)
*WINTER discounts for WEEKLY & MONTHLY STAYS.. also, want to stay for a couple of months or more? Just ask me..
I do have fast WIFI available FREE to guests (however please be respectful that our teachers need to also have data quota, so please, NO TORRENTING and if you work in IT or web development and travelling to Melbourne for work, working from home is NOT appreciated nor is using up all our data, thanks ;) Free WiFi is also offered at all the cafes nearby too! You are so close to central Melbourne and the most happening parts of town that you really have EVERYTHING you could possibly want, need or be curious to check out for a night out around town, without being 'stuck' within the mayhem and you can retreat to a quiet, calm, secure and comfortable place to lay your weary head :)
ANOTHER POINT OF NOTE re UTILITIES:
We were in drought for many years here and water restrictions are in place still in parts of Melbourne and across Australia. Please respect water use, use half-flush button on toilets, do what the locals do and limit showers to 5 minutes please.
Please also turn OFF ALL lights, extra appliances and heating/aircon and bathroom/kitchen/laundry fans when you leave the premises.
Security and cleanliness are paramount. Please be courteous and treat the place with the same care you show your own property please, or more. If you leave it in a mess, break anything without letting me know, leave rubbish or food stuffs around or not take your rubbish out, it will not be taken happily, so please just do the right thing. ;)
I love having guests, especially great, respectful, friendly, clean and tidy ones! A few important things though I'd like you to note and respect please:
1. SELF-CHECK-IN ANYTIME AFTER 2PM :) Due to back-to-back bookings, we need time to clean and reset a house.. if you have a special requirement time-wise, or we-do because the previous booking was a big one and we need more time to clean, wash and reset everything to make sure you have the best experience and standard of my home possible, please let's just be in touch. I give you instructions on how to get in, where and how to access keys via a security lock-box. Keys MUST be returned to this same security lock-box at time of departure.. (NOT the letterbox) - any lost or keys forgotten to be returned aat time of check out will be subject to a $40 inconvenience/ replacement fee from security deposit, even if the original ones are found or later returned.
2. No relatives, friends or guests of yours allowed in this house at any time, including people 'meeting you there' to go elsewhere... Please, this is my private residence as well as my business headquarters (even though on hiatus for a while from June) and do not allow people to see my place whom haven't booked to stay or are part of my school. No parties or get-togethers, no illegal, immoral or fire-hazardous activities.
3. The front door and security door must be LOCKED AT ALL TIMES for security and peace of mind, and with respect to our instruments and equipment, privacy of my space and business, and your things too!
4. Please respect our neighbours - even as a music school we have a long-standing, excellent reputation and rapport with our neighbours, so please don't ruin it by playing really loud music, ESPECIALLY after 10pm.
5. Our musical instruments are costly and are not toys (even fun-looking percussion instruments) so please DO NOT TOUCH without my express permission. If you ask, or are a musician, I am very happy to allow use - even my beautiful piano. But if you break anything, you pay for the full repair of it - no exceptions.
6. Hiring my house means you (and your group if a group booking) are WELCOME GUEST(S) and have been chosen to be able to stay (I don't allow just *anybody* you know..) and you are not a tenant, it's not just some hotel, this is my home and my livelihood - so please respect space, property and cleanliness. Don't touch, open, or fiddle with anything you do not have specific permission to do so in terms of instruments, cupboards, looking for internet modems or checking out other rooms expressly asked not to enter or not told you can. A breach of this will result in negative feedback and/or an immediate cancellation of the remainder of the booking if this rule is disrespected (and we are not obligated to return fees other than those stated in the cancellation policy). I'd like to think I only have well-intentioned guests who stay happily at my place :) just as I look after and respect each person whom is a guest in my place as best as possible. If something breaks through expected type of use then you're not going to be in trouble - only if you don't let me know! ;) Thank you :D
7. Please be mindful, courteous and respectful to other future guests, and upon departure, please dispose of and remove from the premises any rubbish, especially perishable food and drinks. Take them with you, or bin them and remove them.
8.I have been awarded AIRBNB 'SUPERHOST' status, so as proven by so fantastic reviews consistently as testament to my commitment to providing the VERY BEST EXPERIENCE and warm comfortable stay for all my guests, PLEASE WRITE TO ME or buzz me on any form of media (given to you after booking is confirmed) at ANY time and I will do my best to help you in any and every way I can :) Let me know of anything so I can sort it out for you on the spot, don't just write about something in a review down the track that I didn't know about. Thank you :) :)
SPECIAL NOTES FOR YOU:
I want you to be able to retreat to a quiet, calm, secure and comfortable place and truly enjoy a comfortable stay as our guest so that you come stay each time you travel to Melbourne. In fact I even give special rates to those for second + stays ;)
I look forward being your SUPER host! :)
ps - If you are a smoker, whilst no smoking is allowed in the house, you can smoke on the balcony or outside (well away from) the door. Please dispose of cigarette butts responsibly of it will be marked in your review!
Hello :) I'm Christina, pleased to meet you and be your Superhost!
I am a professional classical/ opera singer, multi-instrumentalist, of many years, as well as a specialised music teacher / professor and have run my own specialist music school for adults and kids provate lessons for the past 13 years. I'm also an experienced NLP Master Practitioner/NLP trainer and life coach, certified hypnotherapist and can do music lessons and NLP / life coaching sessions on line via camera. I very much enjoy company even if it's a cyber-coffee and chat (!) , love having fun and sharing laughs, am an excellent conversationalist and LOVE sharing travel stories and hearing all about others' adventures (and misadventures!) , but respect people's own stories and journeys. I have spent a lot of time living, traveling and working abroad in Greece, Italy, France, Switzerland, England, Wales, Czech Republic, Thailand, South Africa, Zambia and the USA. I'm always very happy to share travel tips too ;)
I am also a massive movie buff, and, being from Melbourne originally (and having a Mediterranean background) we are all foodies here! You will be spoilt for choice in this area..! Any tips and recommendations for anything you want to find in and around Melbourne in terms of food, nightlife, attractions, kids' activities, gigs, markets and anything else, feel free to ask!
Please note, as my place is a very popular Airbnb house, I do have another room available (so two in total) in my house and you can hire the entire house (I can accommodate up to 8 guests in a booking for my whole house).
Some points on housekeeping: Have a fully functioning and well equipped kitchen but don't tend to cook much due to long or strange working hours but you are welcome to make use of it all during your stay as long as noise (and pungent aromas) are kept to a minimum and just as other common areas including bathroom are to be cleaned up by you directly after use, and electricity and water are not wasted unnecessarily please.
Strictly no guests or pets allowed.
Please be respectful regarding looking after property, locking up properly, keeping noise to a minimum at night especially, and replacing anything you damage, and look after my instruments and the cleanliness of my place as if it's your own! And if you're ever in Greece -Athens or Crete especially - feel free to get in touch as I will be more than happy to take you on a locals' guided walk and show you the hidden gems of these beautiful places too!
Keep the keys safe.. Losing them will incur a $30 replacement fee for inconvenience/ possible changing of locks.
