I’d give this place 6 stars if it were possible.
I stayed 4 months in this apartment via on a work assignment in Sydney. Christine was my initial contact on AirBNB and was very responsive. Mabel, which is Christine’s mom, was my direct point-person while I was in Sydney from check-in to check-out and she was delightful to work with. Check-in was a breeze. Mabel met me in the lobby and walked me through the apartment. She had also arranged for my building pass ahead of time. I didn’t have many issues over the course of the 4 months, but when I did, Mabel was only a text message away and had no problems getting these resolved.
The apartment itself is very modern, clean and fairly spacious for Sydney. In fact, having visited a handful of apartments in Sydney while there, I’d say this is a pretty good deal. Decent views around the city with line of sight to the weekly fireworks show in Darling Harbour, which was a treat. As you’re in World Square (which is one of the social hubs in the city), you have very good access to pretty much everything. There’s a Cole’s grocery shopping downstairs, along with restaurants, a dollar-store, dry cleaning, coffee shops, liquor store, clothing shops all within the block itself. Town Hall and Museum train stops are within 5 minute walk and each gives you access to pretty much the rest of Sydney. The apartment was well-stocked with everything you’ll need. Washer/Dryer on-premise was a huge plus for me, along with the additional sleeping area where friends and family slept when they came to visit.
Overall, one of the best AirBNB experiences I could have asked for. Sad to leave it behind, but looking forward to staying there again for when I’m back in Sydney. Thanks Christine and Mabel!
