Cozy above farmhouse kitchen/shared bath/Sitting rm with elect kettle, toaster, microwv, sm refrig. Local Art Barn, Tues farmstand, gallery. Short drive to Acadia return to quiet country living. 3 min walk to Bay, Swim, Lobster Shack/12min Blue Hill

Sweet Attic Room in Charming Rustic Farmhouse built in 1832 on the Coast of Maine.
The room is cozy with low attic ceiling and beds are futons. Double futon on antique bed (Bed from characters in the book Blueberries for Sal by McCloskey), and a single futon can be added on the floor.
If you want cozy this is your room to come home to after a day of playing in Acadia or on the Blue Hill Peninsula. The stairs in this old cape are steep with railings. Share bath and sitting room (futon couch with small refrigerator, electric tea kettle, toaster, microwave, table with chairs, and many books) with one other room. $65/night $35/extra person after two or for cot or twin futon on floor.

This room is best for those who don't mind kitchen sounds below. It is pretty quiet until 8am. Please remember that these rooms are Airbnb, which means that they are in people's home. If you would like a room that you can sleep later in, the king-size room is generally quieter and also has more height. The cabin is next to the forest.

Swim in the small local beach a five minute drive or a 45 minute walk then walk five minutes to the local Lobster Shack where you can sit at picnic tables while dining on the dock leading to the boat that brought in your lobster maybe this morning! Walk on rocks at the head of Morgan Bay just a short walk down the hill from the Morgan House, you can swim there, too, if the tide is high. Experience the changing of the tides. See eagles and seals. Walk on more conservation trails, visit the little country meditation center across the road. You might want to relax at your new coastal home by sitting in the back yard by the garden at the edge of the forest on a quiet summer afternoon after walking on Conservation trails or swimming in the bay. Bring some simple foods for breakfast and eat outside by the firepit and gardens.
For lunch picnic at Morgan Bay if you are around for the day. For dinner drive 15 minutes to the village of Blue Hill for fine dining at the Arborvine, an early cape style home similar to mine, brick oven pizza at Barncastle, seafood at the Boatyard Grill, yes, that is our local boatyard, Deep Water Brewery for local beer. Visit the Blue Hill Coop Cafe for community-great snacks, lunch, or groceries. Acadia National Park and the busy town of Bar Harbor is only a 45 minute drive...and you will return to the quiet life of Morgan Bay!

Let me know how I can help to make your stay wonderful!

10th generation Mainer welcoming you to the sweet small village of Morgan Bay on the Coast of Maine I've finally returned back home after Zen Buddhist training which took me to the Himalayas and living six years in a Zen temple and then moving to raise my sons in Cambridge, MA. Founder of Center for Studying Mindfulness and Being Present with Our Children, I've raised two happy successful sons, and have been published on parenting and meditation practice by Shambhala Publications. I offer workshops, trainings, and one on one sessions for couples, individuals, parents and group often with Continuing Education for physicians, heatlhcare professionals and teaching Mindfulness now in Maine colleges such as Colby College, University of Southern Maine. I enjoy kayaking, the outdoors, looking into our precious dark sky, skiing in the North Maine Woods! And now, I want to invite you to the Blue Hill Peninsula.
