The apartment is a large studio- as stated on the website and as it can be seen from the Airbnb certified photos on the site and is nightly priced accordingly.
We gave you both of our phone numbers: mine and my assistant as soon as you booked and send you a message saying: " please feel free to contact us anytime" specially if any issues come up. There is no way for us to know if any issues come up while you are staying in the apartment unless you contact us and let us know, so we can take care of the issues right away. I personally looked at the ceiling and I am not sure what "ill-defined" material you are talking about, there was a water stain on the bathroom's ceiling where the leak was taking place. I understand that you did not want to be bothered throughout your stay, but a water leak could create a lot of damage if it's not taken care of right away, we would have appreciated if you would have let us know as soon as it happened, specially that you stayed in the apartment for 9 nights.
The smoke alarm is installed to let anyone know that there is smoke in the apartment , that is the purpose of the smoke alarm and it is stated on the website that the apartment has a smoke alarm, as the apartment is a non smoking apartment .
My assistant was not there to run an inventory at your check-out( as you know he did not ran an inventory) he was just there to let the cleaning girl know that we allowed you to leave the luggage in the apartment( as a courtesy, that you forgot to mention) while she was cleaning and setting up for the next guests. We did not notice that the sheet was missing until she set up the bed. There is a washer and dryer in the apartment, therefore there is no chance that they might have been lost while the cleaner was doing the laundry, as she did not leave the apartment to do the laundry and we have been working with the same cleaners for a very long time.
We do not know where the sheet disappeared, the only reasonable explanation is that you either stained/broke the sheet and got rid of it, or you guys took it to the beach and never brought it back .. your answer when I asked you if you have any idea where the sheet might be, was very rude and threatening, which makes me believe that you knew that the sheet was missing.
Unfortunately if we cannot find the sheet anywhere in the apartment( I will personally go back and check again), we will have to charge you from your deposit, as the sheet is part of the apartment's inventory and we will have to buy another set for the next guests staying in the apartment.
