So much to do in and around Asheville, save on week or month long stays!!

Nestled in the historic Montford neighborhood, enjoy a leisurely 10 minute walk to the heart of downtown cafés, restaurants & bars. Perfect for two couples or a family.

Our 1920s renovated bungalow is an Asheville classic. With two private queen bedrooms and 2 full baths, this home is ideal for two couples vacationing together or a family with children. One bathroom has a garden whirlpool tub and one bathroom has a combination bathtub and shower.

Our updated kitchen with sleek concrete countertops warmed by hickory cabinets is perfect for cooking a meal at home before you launch into downtown to enjoy an art gallery, a local performance, festival, or to hear (excellent) live music. Sip your morning coffee on the front porch while enjoying the flower garden and the sounds of Carolina birds and the cathedral bells. Relax into your evening cocktail on the shaded back porch with the gurgling creek making you forget (for just a second) that you are only a few city blocks from downtown Asheville.

The full house, sunny front porch, and back deck are all yours to enjoy. Parking available for two cars in front of the house.

We live locally and are available to help with local travel tips or to field any questions or concerns. Our daughter, Sarah, (an Airbnb super host) helps us with the home and will be your primary contact while visiting.

If you enjoy staying in classic city neighborhoods only minutes from the life of downtown, then historic Montford is the best place to stay. Park your car in front of the house and easily walk to downtown, the Reed Creek Greenway which ends at the Asheville Botanical Garden, the local grocery store - GreenLife, as well as Trader Joes and Harris Teeter. As you stroll through Montford, you will enjoy the sites of a well-aged and cared for neighborhood - classic and well kept bungalows and large Victorian homes settled behind tree-lined streets. Savor world favors in Montford or downtown restaurants or forage for dinner fixings to cook in the well equipped kitchen. Dining table is expandable to eight or enjoy a meal on the back deck table.

Did we mention this location is very walkable? Everything downtown Asheville is only short 10-15 minute walk away. For further adventures, travel just 10 minutes by car to Asheville's River Art District, the Biltmore, the Blue Ridge Mountains, or West Asheville. There is on-street parking in front of the house.

Additional amenities include central air, fireplace, cable tv and Internet, in house washer and dryer, modern kitchen, hardwood and tile floors throughout, filtered water, local art and luxury linens.

Cathy and David did an excellent job of communicating with us ahead of time to make sure our arrival was stress-free. The bungalow is spacious and very comfortable, and is equipped with everything you might need. The furniture and decor add a cosy and rustic feel, and it is clear that a lot of love and attention goes in to caring for this Airbnb rental. We highly recommend!

This is a lovely house in a perfect spot for walking into downtown Asheville, and driving to Biltmore. David and Kathy were wonderful and helpful, and we can't wait to stay there again. The value, too, is exceptional.

Cathy and David's place was an outstanding place to stay in Asheville. We loved that it was walking distance to town. The common area (sitting rooms, "dining" room and kitchen) were spacious and comfortable. We enjoyed having space to spread out and visit. They were very thoughtful in how they supplied the house--a bottle of wine was waiting when we arrived. It was nice to have good coffee provided as well as real half and half. Although we didn't cook while we were there, we looked around and there was everything we would need if we were to want to cook (including rice cooker and blender). There were plenty of back up supplies (extra blankets, towels, toilet paper, etc) so you would not need to spend your vacation running to the store. Although we did not have the opportunity to meet Cathy and David while we were there, we communicated with them by email multiple times and they were extremely quick to respond in all cases. I would strongly recommend this to anyone. I hope that if we have the opportunity to return to Asheville this space will be available again.

David and Cathy have been married for 44 years and happily retired to Asheville, where the mountains hug you everyday. Our daughter Sarah (an AirBnB Superhost) manages the listing for us. We lived in West Chester, PA for 26 years. Having traveled all over the US, to Europe, and Asia, we have come to love Asheville as our home. Its eclectic personality, wonderful climate, top-notch restaurant scene, and many different festivals and events make it a wonderful place to settle and enjoy life. David and Cathy and our daughter Sarah are excited to share this special town with you and hope you will enjoy it as much as we do.
