Descrizione

A beautiful two bedroom thatched cottage in the lovely historical harbour village of Bosham, West Sussex.

This property includes an upstairs bathroom, downstairs shower room, two reception rooms, conversatory dining room and fully equipped kitchen.

At over 400 years old, this beautiful grade 2 listed Cottage is a wonderful place to spend a few days, or more, enjoying the picturesque historic village of Bosham, West Sussex. Bosham combines a beautiful setting next to Chichester Harbour with a vibrant but relaxed atmosphere.

Guests will have access to the whole cottage, including front and rear gardens.

Guest will have the property for themselves to enjoy. Guest will self check in, with all information provided, with somebody contactable at all times in the event of any queries.

Bosham is definitely one of the prettiest villages on the south coastof England.

There’s a lovely and ancient church (which is shown on the Bayeux Tapestry), tea shops (which aren’t), restaurants, sailing clubs and lots of things happening on the water most of the time.

Bosham Walk is an arcade of mainly art and crafts shops which usually attracts plenty of visitors in the summer.

This road floods at high tide - it sure does! Be careful where you park your car by the way – when the tide comes in it usually inundates the road immediately next to the harbour. You can see the effect on cars in some of the photographs in the nearby Anchor Bleu pub. Although they’re funny, you probably wouldn't laugh if you found your car standing in three feet of water.

Bosham, of course, has long been associated with the story of King Cnut and the incoming tide. It seems fitting that, even today, the story repeats itself once in a while.

It is thought that a skeleton found in the church in 1865 during renovation work is that of Cnut's daughter Gunhilda of Denmark who is supposed to have drowned in Bosham Mill Stream.

Today Bosham is a popular place for dinghy sailing, although this far up the Bosham Channel low tide means plenty of gently shelving mud flats and rich pickings for birds for quite a lot of the day.

The cottage is located a 5 mintue walk to a bus stop, and 10 minute walk to a train station for easy access to Chichester, Portsmouth and Southampton.

We have an apartment right in the historic centre of Malaga, on the famous Plaza de la Merced. It has 4 rooms, a kitchen and large bathroom, located in an historical building (1881), next to the one in which Picasso was born. We love hosting because we enjoying meeting new and interesting people from all corners of the world. We come from South-east England. We have travelled extensively ourselves. Most recently we have travelled around New Zealand for 2 years, living in a campervan. We have also travelled for 2 and 1/2 months through Thailand, Laos, Cambodia, Malaysia and Singapore. We did this by using local transport which could sometimes be a little nerve racking and slow, but this is the best way to really get to know the people and culture.
We are very interested in a sustainable living type of lifestyle and the eco side of building. It’s our dream that one day we will build an off-grid house of our own and live a low impact, sustainable lifestyle.
We are very easy going and broad minded. We have used Airbnb as guests and have always had great experiences and we hope you will have a great experience with us!
