Whether you enjoy outdoor activities or just want to relax on our deck overlooking the river, you will love this place. Hike the trails nearby, swim, kayak, and picnic at one of many beautiful mountain lakes, gaze at the Sierra Buttes, fish and enjoy the local swimming holes on the Yuba River, or just relax with a view of the river and the Tahoe National Forest. Perfect for a family vacation or group of friends. Great for telecommuting with a view -- if your boss will let you!
No smoking (inside or outside)
You are welcome to use our condiments in the kitchen.
You are welcome to use our fishing poles - just get some bait.
You may borrow our kayak for the lakes only, not the river (requires prior arrangement and car with roof rack).
House trained dogs welcome, but no other pets. Please clean after your dog ;-)
OK to use phone for local, toll free, or incoming calls
No use of the fireplace during summer
Strictly no fires on property
Do not leave any garbage or food outside the cabin (it could attract bears and ants)
Do not leave any food behind (whether in the refrigerator or not)
Since the town has no garbage service, we take our garbage and recycling home and we ask guests to do the same (there is also a dumpster nearby).
Maximum of 2 vehicles allowed without prior approval
Please review the cabin manual and our things to do guide to ensure a most pleasant stay :-)
I grew up in Honduras and live in the San Francisco Bay Area where I went to college and where I lead the marketing team for a cool mobile startup. I love the outdoors and frequently go sailing in the bay where I'm a volunteer instructor. I enjoy cycling especially up Mt. Diablo and Gold Lake Road. I'm married to an American, have two teenage daughters and a dog. I like to travel and enjoy meeting interesting people as a guest and as a host. I am a big fan of sharing services such as Airbnb, Turo, and Uber.
