This was my first solo trip and I am very thankful to have found Magnus as my first Airbnb host. He went above and beyond to ensure my stay and travels were safe and timely. Magnus was very clear and prepared with communication, and picked me up after arriving in Iceland from a nearby bus stop (the airport shuttle Flybus Excursions picks up and drops off here). He then gave me a tour around Reykjavik and we explored some neighbouring caves. Each morning he even happily offered to drop me off at tour pick up points. One night he even made his famous spelt pizza which was incredible- and he was aware of my dietary requirements and worked around them. The house is very clean and spacious with all the necessary amenities required for a relaxing stay in Iceland. Although it wasn't too close to any bus stops, I still managed to travel back and forth using the transport system. There are several buses that move around the area with stops 15-20 minutes walking time. However, you are walking in one of the safest countries with unlimited daylight (in Summer) so it was perfectly fine for me. The house is also around 5 minutes from a bakery and convenience store. Thank you so much Magnus for showing me around Iceland and accomodating me! Definitely recommend booking a place here if interested in exploring the nooks and crannies of this beautiful country.

Magnus was very helpful, pretty much told me where I should go with the time I had. The place itself is clean.

Magnus is an incredibly accommodating host; he's very friendly and offered to show me some local caves; when I asked him at close to midnight to point me in the right direction, he drove me to it and showed me a couple of them, and then took me on a bit of a tour until 2 in the morning, even though he had work at 7:30. Incredibly nice guy with lots of recommendations on what to do and see when in Iceland. The room itself is also nice; the bed is comfortable, and the bathroom is very clean. I would highly recommend staying here if you don't mind being outside the capital; it's only a 10 minute drive away if you want to go into Reykjavik anyway.

Magnus' home is clean, neat, quiet and attractive. The bedroom has a very comfortable bed and a shared bathroom w/ shower/tub. The first night, he cooked fish, and spent a few hours planning my next day. Magnús's ideas were excellent. Magnus spent the entire day with me and proved to be a magnificent tour guide. One night he made pizza from scratch. Magnus is a knowledgeable, capable, energetic, outgoing, and generous host. As a female solo traveler, I felt very comfortable. I recommend a car as it will make your visit more convenient.

Magnus is an awesome host!! The room is very clean and cozy and the house is lovely. He knows a lot about Iceland and helped me plan my visit. One day after I came back after driving for 400 kilometers, he even made me pizza and offered me some traditional traditional Icelandic food!

Magnus has a lovely home in a quiet neighbourhood. The room is clean and the bed is very comfortable! Magnus is a nice host who offered me rides to and from the bus terminal on several occasions. One night he even gave me a quick ride around the city to check out beautiful houses. Note that Magnus lives in the suburbs, just outside Reykjavik, so nothing is really walking distance except the 24 hour grocery chain Hagkaup. However, city centre is only about 15 minute ride away.

Magnus is an awesome host and super knowledgeable about Iceland's best locations. He suggested I visit Seljalandsfoss on my way to Skogafoss and it was so beautiful, it made my trip. Magnus also respects boundaries and is very helpful in directing you on where/how to see the Reykjavik best. The neighborhood is quiet and residential, super clean, and the room is very cozy. I suggest renting a car if you stay here - it just makes everything easier since you must take a bus to get into the city (which is a 15-min drive away). Although if you're visiting in the summer, the bus should be fine.
