We have met many types of hosts and accommodations in our travels with our outside Airbnb. However, Andrea Buccoliero and his I 4 Balconi b&b are second to none. My fiancee and I were first time travelers to Italy, so we didn’t really know our way around. Andrea was the kindest, most helpful host, in a discreet and effective manner. He answered all of our questions prior to arriving, picked us up on our way to the residence when we got a bit lost on the lovely, yet tangled streets of Lecce, and showed us what Italian hospitality really means - above all our expectations. Waking up to the view of a Gothic ceiling in our room (after sleeping in a romantic tent-bed that gave a romantic touch to the room), being able to watch and touch the living history of Lecce’s streets directly from the balcony (whoever saw their picturesque baroque architecture on display at every corner of the streets knows what I’m talking about), then receiving a breakfast made by Andrea of freshly squeezed orange juice and Italian pasticceria just out of the oven was pure happiness! I 4 Balconi is a display of interior design arranged with such great taste - modern utilities combined with historical heritage in a warm and cosy place (our hipster inner soul was very happy about all that). Everything went beyond our expectations. We recommend a trip there to anybody wanting to experience la dolce vita, the Italian way. Four days of stay simply weren’t enough to enjoy all the beauty there is to experience over there, so we will definitely return!
