**Please read our entire listing, including 'house rules', so you know what to expect. Kindly inquire and get a response from us BEFORE booking, we may be discussing the same dates with others already. :-) Minimum stay of two nights.**
Sometimes available: couch or airbed in cozy, quiet living room with curtains to close it off for privacy. Couch does not open and it's not quite full-length, but most people who sleep on it say it's very comfortable. If that doesn't do it for you, please ask for our one-person airbed with feather bed and duvet which is super comfy. We have a friendly cat who will likely wander in to explore. Bathroom is one flight up stairs right next to living room and is shared with us. Wireless internet; off-street parking; LIGHT use of kitchen; easy public transportation; great, safe neighborhood. Like most New England homes, house is made of wood and slightly creaky; all windows have curtains but some light comes through. Please see our other listing for more information. Kindly note this listing is only for short stays (no more than four days), and only for one person.
Multiple buses going everywhere are one block away and very frequent: a ride on one to the nearest subway takes 6 minutes.
Please note that we have a cat, who is super-cute, docile and slightly peculiar. Cat is House Owner. You cat people, you know what we mean. Stay here ONLY if you like cats and don't have allergies! We mean this, now. Because room is closed off by curtains, he WILL wander in occasionally. We will not lock him up elsewhere for your stay. :-)
PLEASE SEE OUR OTHER LISTING FOR OTHER INFORMATION ON THIS ROOM AND ABOUT THE HOUSE.
Thanks Jesa and John for another great week. They are always very attentive but never intrusive.
After a week at their beautiful Victorian Library Room, I'm back at their Sofa-isticated room. It was as pleasure, comfortable and pleasant as I remembered it.
Staying at Jesa and John's place it is truly like being at home. I have used airbnb in different cities and countries but I have never had such a wonderful host.
The room description was accurate and Jesa was very welcoming and helpful! It was a very nice experience.
Jesa and John were amazing hosts! Their house was Zen and burning man inspired, and I loved the positive and genuine vibe.
I will miss you this week! Looking forward to reconnect the week after
I have discovered that Jesa is not only a great host but also an incredibly relevant figure in the Boston arts community. If you haven't met her yet, you're missing out!
Coming back to Jesa and John's place after the winter break really felt like coming back home. Super warm and cozy, which are especially appreciated features when there is a snow blizzard happening outside.
Looking forward to coming back this week again!
Jesa and John's house was exactly how they described it - and the hospitality was 5 stars! The email exchange leading up to the point of actually flying into Boston was straight forward and it was quite easy to talk to them. Jesa wasn't around but John was there, and he was a terrific host. I was in and out of the house a lot and didn't have a lot of time to chat with him, but he was very accommodating and even had an iron and ironing board ready for me, as I needed to get my suit ready for a wedding! Thank you for an easy stay, a warm house and an inviting atmosphere. Don't hesitate to stay at their house - you'll have a great time. There is a cat, though, so if you are allergic to cats, this won't be the place to stay at.
