Above all, Alessandra was really receptive, helped us in the process of transfer from the airport to the apartment and she was kind and gentle in her reception, being available in every need we could had. Her answers in any questions we sent were prompt and effective.

Our family of 7 (4 adults, 3 teenagers) has spent a total of 7 nights at Alessandra's apartment in August 2016 and it was a wonderful experience. The apartment is located within a 15 minute walk to the Vatican and is very close to two Metro stations - we used Cipro, which was clean, safe and well-lit. The metro will take you easily to all the major sights in Rome! The surrounding neighborhood is congested, but safe. Like in any big city, you just need to be aware of what's around you! This is no different. The apartment is very comfortable! It is on the 5th floor of an apartment building in a charming complex with a nice courtyard. The pictures on the website do not do the actual views of Rome justice - they are stunning. There is a very small (enough room for 2 people and a luggage) elevator that gets you to the 5th floor if it is too much to walk. The apartment is SUPER CLEAN and all the amenities are new - that was important to us and we were not disappointed. The bedrooms are spacious and each has a large (for Italy!) full bathroom with strong, excellent showers. The hot water is an on-demand system, so no need to coordinate showers for a big family like ours. There is air conditioning in each of the bedrooms and the kitchen has a large fan that cools off the room just fine. The kitchen is well equipped, although we loved the Caffe Andrea Doria just steps from the building for morning coffee and cornetti! There is a full iron and ironing board, which is a godsend. Americans: two things you need to know - 1) there is a washing machine (put your load on "turbo" or it takes forever!) and a large drying rack, but NO DRYER. We had a rack of clothes in the middle of our kitchen most of the trip! 2) You will have one large towel, one hand towel and one washcloth for each person (well, that is what we had for 7 people - if you have less people, maybe you will have more towels). If you are used to using fresh towels each day, you will need to bring them from home. We also made a trip to the grocery store - which is a walk of about 5 minutes - for toilet paper and paper towels, as well as fruit, waters and milk. The most charming part of our stay was meeting Alessandra and Rosalba! They are kind ladies that are most welcoming and helpful! Rosalba made us a delicious, homemade crostata and had cold iced tea waiting for us when we arrived. Alessandra walked me through a map of Rome, detailing the sights we shouldn't miss, and the restaurants we needed to try! They accommodated a very early check-in TWICE, as our flight from NYC landed very early in the morning and our cruise return was early as...

Alessandra was an excellent host meeting us at the apartment to take us through everything. She had lovely home made snacks and iced tea ready for us on arrival. The apartment was as described, very neat and tidy and well finished with Air conditioning in all bedrooms. I could actually see St Peters Basilica From my bedroom window. The apartment was perfect for the four of us spending a week seeing the sites of Rome. The Vatican is within easy walking distance and the Metro and Taxi rank was very close allowing us to get to any other location in Rome quite easily.
