Descrizione

Traditional pet friendly Shepherd's Hut in the secluded grounds of an 18th Century thatched cottage with extensive views to the river and set on a working farm. It has a shower room, kitchenette and comfy double bed and its own private garden.

A traditional Shepherd's Hut in the secluded grounds of an 18th century thatched cottage, with extensive views of the valley and River Avon, set on a working farm. It comes fully equipped with en suite electric shower, basin and proper flushing toilet. It has a beautiful hand-made kitchenette with microwave/combi oven, induction hob and roomy fridge with small freezer space to make ice for your drinks! There is a continental breakfast included in the price. You can then retire to the full-size double comfy bed, whilst enjoying the views across the valley and enjoy the peace and quiet of the country. The hut has its own private and secluded garden, which comes equipped with garden furniture and a barbeque. The hut has an electric heater for those chilly evenings and the shower room has its own heated towel rail to keep those fluffy towels dry and you warm.

The hut is situated away from the main house and in its own secluded garden with garden furniture and barbeque.

The hut is situated in the garden of our home and we will be there to greet you and show you round. After that, we are here to answer any questions you might have, but also appreciate your privacy and so will leave it up to you.

We are situated along a quiet country road, yet only 4 miles from the historic city of Salisbury with its cathedral, wealth of amenities, restaurants and places to visit. We are surrounded by our farm land. There are 3 pubs in the valley, one is a 10 minute walk down a footpath - sturdy shoes/boots and a torch are essential.
We are situated 4 miles from Stonehenge, about an hour from the famous city of Bath, the South Coast and the historic city of Winchester. We are also 2 miles from Old Sarum Castle (the old Salisbury).

The best way to travel is by car, bike or foot. We are on the National Cycle Network Route 45. We are not on a bus route here. There is a mainline railway station in Salisbury (4 miles away) to London Waterloo which takes 90 minutes.
10 minute walk to the nearest pub, where they serve food from lunch time through to the evening. Please note that on Sundays, the kitchen closes at 8pm, 9pm the rest of the time.

The hut has been designed to get away from it all. Therefore, there is no internet access or television - just views, wildlife, a glass of wine and a good book. There is a DAB radio.
We also have a Bed and Breakfast Suite which is in the Cottage. It sleeps three and has it's own separate entrance - please see listing on Airbnb. https://www.airbnb.co.uk/rooms/10823481?guests=2&s=2GnlUoty

and I am married to Steve. We both love living in the country and being surrounded by a beautiful view. We love dogs. Steve has plenty of other animals to look after - mainly cows, but he does have some chickens as well. I really enjoy cooking and meeting people. When we have the time, we both like to travel and have been to some beautiful places including Africa, India, Asia and Europe.
We can't live without seeing the sea in Cornwall from time to time.
