Located in a "walker’s paradise" (walk score=96) just 2 blocks from shops/food/public transportation and 3 steps down from the included parking, our lower flat is outfitted for long- or short-term stays. It includes kitchen, laundry, comfy living/sleeping spaces etc...(read detailed description and check amenities for specifics, please.)
- Infants and children count as guests (see "Other things to note" for specifics.)
- Up to 2 dogs are accepted w/ $20fee for 1st, $10 for 2nd & pre-approval.

L'alloggio

Your own private entrance access to our bright, lower-level apartment is down 3 steps from our parking pad. The flat has 2 beds/bedrooms and can sleep up to 6 if you use the pull-out daybed or air mattress options that are available.

Children/infants and pets are welcome HOWEVER, the flat is NOT childproofed. See "Other things to note" for details.

Bedrooms (linens provided):
Primary bedroom: queen sized bed and enough room to add a queen-sized air mattress (available upon request), 1 small desk with chair, walk-in closet w/ hangers, small dresser, and book case.

Second bedroom: full-sized bed, small table and chair, closet w/ hangers, dresser w/drawers, and small speakers for your electronic device.

Bathroom: Radiant heat ceramic flooring and large combo shower/soaking tub, make for a welcome retreat. Includes sink, towels to accommodate up to 6 people and complementary toiletries.

Full-sized kitchen: Stove, microwave, refrigerator/freezer, coffee maker, electric water kettle, teapot, toaster, blender, mixer, basic condiments and spices, serving/mixing bowls, basic dishes and utensils, cook/bakeware, glasses of all sorts for 6, and complementary coffee, tea and hot chocolate.

Livingroom/Diningroom/common space within flat: Daybed (king-sized pull out)+ 2 club chairs, dining table + 4 chairs (extra chairs at desks in bedrooms,) breakfast bar w/2 chairs, 40" Internet-ready TV and DVD/VHS players, free wifi, and a warming gas fireplace. HDMI cable to loan upon request.

The entrance is off the alley around back of the house. If you have a car, you are welcome to park it in the driveway (please request this service upon booking.) HEAD IN PARKING ONLY!

The door to the apartment is one step down from the driveway level. The electronic keypad is located on the door of the flat (inside the screen door.)

As you open the door, note THERE ARE 2 STEPS DOWN IMMEDIATELY INSIDE THE DOOR. MIND YOUR STEP, esp. if it has been raining. When you enter the apartment, borrow a pair of slippers and make yourself at home!

Although there is a key to the door inside the flat for your use, we recommend you use only the keypad deadbolt when entering and exiting. That way, you will never lose the key so cannot be charged a "lost key replacement" charge.

You will have privacy, but if you would like to meet us or ask questions about navigating/things to do/etc… please feel free to knock on our door, email, text, or give us a call. One of us will be available much of the time and if not, we will leave the name/contact information for a "guest host."

There is an "alley community" sense between the neighbors. In the warmer months, we often have communal cookouts, music jams, and fires by the fire pit. If we are having a gathering, please join us. If neighbors see you around, they are likely to stop, chat and say, "Hi."

This apartment is not free-standing. It is a lower level, daylight, basement flat, which means that my husband, my dog and I live on the level above you. We do not wear shoes in our house and endeavor to walk softly, but you may hear us on occasion. The dog barks sometimes and we quiet him as quickly as we can. In the common rooms of your flat, you may hear indistinct talking from above and we often hear indistinct talking from below. If you are looking for solitude and silence, you will want to consider other options.

Children and infants are welcome, but the space is not child-proofed. They are considered guests and should be included in the total count during booking. This is due to their large "footprint" (water usage, wear and tear on apartment, set up and use of child furniture/linens, garbage impact with disposable diapers, etc.) If your infant pushes your total guest count over 4, a daily surcharge of $5 will be added to cover the added cost surrounding these issues. Some childproofing equipment available. We can supply upon request: socket covers, cabinet locks, and a baby gate for the stairway. Please bring other child-proofing supplies as needed. Be aware of sharp corners, the steps in the entry area, HOT FIREPLACE, decorations at child-level, etc… Pack 'N Play and high chair available upon request. Some linens available, although laundry detergent is NOT "baby" detergent. No baby blankets provided.

We have a dog that lives upstairs, we regularly have guests with dogs and we lived in the basement flat for a year during our remodel with our dog. Although I do my best to clean, sterilize and de-dander (is that a word???) the apartment, if you are highly allergic to pet dander this is not the rental for you.

Pets: ONLY PRE-SCREENED DOGS ALLOWED IN THE APARTMENT AND ON THE PROPERTY. THIS MUST BE DONE AT BOOKING.
- If any animal is found to have been in the apartment without arranging it at booking, you will be charged the dog fee retroactively. In addition, you will be charged an extra $75 cleaning fee to cover the expense of hiring extra last minute cleaning help as there is extra time needed for the cleaning when an animal has been in the flat.
- $20 per stay for first dog ($10 for 2nd dog, max 2 dogs total per stay)
- damage deposit of $300 (fully refundable upon post-departure inspection. Extra cleaning fees will be charged if pets relieve themselves in the flat. )
- Dogs must be crate-trained to stay in the unit. A medium-sized, cloth travel kennel available for loan upon request. If they are not, or bark when they are kenneled, please find a different rental. Your dog barking will cause our dog to bark in his kennel, and that is not acceptable. If this happens, I will need to cancel your rental and you will need to find other accommodations.
- Keep Dog water and food bowls on floor in BATHROOM ONLY. Damage to the wood or cork floors would mean replacing them which would be costly for both you (being responsible for the repair) and for me (losing income during repair)
- Dogs should be on leash when outside the house and in small, un-fenced back yard space
- slightly larger fenced area in the front yard for “off leash" time
- Please clean up any mess your dog leaves and put used bags in trash bin behind garage
- There is an off-leash dog park within 1 mile of the flat at Woodland Park

Great place within walking distance of several shops, grocery store, and restaurants. Beautiful park 1/2 block away. Inside is all updated and very clean. Everything you could want for a Seattle vacation.

Eileen's space is awesome. Stayed for 8 days with 2 young children. All the kitchen drawers were child locked, making it easier to keep little hands out of things. We were able to have a high chair as well, so convenient! The beds were super comfy and plenty of options on places to sleep. It was nice to also have Netflix and board games! Walking distance to everything in Wallingford, even a short walk to an awesome playground. It was really convenient to have a parking space for getting around and doing long day trips. I would stay again in a heartbeat.

We had a great time staying at this residence while visiting Seattle. It was a short drive to downtown even during rush hour and the parking space onsite made it a dream to come back to at night. Beautiful interior with one of the nicest bathrooms I've experienced even compared to upscale hotels. The owners of the property were very accommodating and made sure that we had everything we needed upon check in and check out. They gave us good recommendations on restaurants and nightlife and were a pleasure to interact with. The location was the best of both worlds for us...they had a main strip a short 2 minute walk from the house filled with restaurants and coffee shops. If we stay in Seattle again this will be high on the list!

Great communication with Eileen, and the place is very clean and spacious, with great amenities. However, the house is very old, so any person walking upstairs makes this very annoy and super loud squeaky sound. Dog was barking and howling the whole time he was home alone

We had a wonderful stay at Eileen's flat. Everything was clean and just as described. She has thought of everything and has notes around making things very easy to figure out. She definitely cares about you as her guest and goes the extra mile to make your stay perfect. We loved the shower and soaking tub and heated tiles! The location is great- so easy to walk to everything and the park down the block was wonderful for my kids. Stay here! You won't regret it!

Clean and very quiet place. Easy to go to downtown Seattle and there are many options of restaurants and supermarket nearby.

Fred and I are originally from the Midwest, and like many around here, moved to Seattle because of our love of the outdoors. We fell in love with the area and have lived in Seattle for nearly 20 years, the last 11 of which have been in Wallingford. We love to share our passions for hiking, biking, climbing, skiing, local food, activities and tasty beverages with our visitors.

I am a former public educator and Fred is in the tech industry. Currently, I am trying to figure out what I am going to be “when I grow up.” In the interim, we continue to explore, travel, learn, and have fun. Our most recent adventure was to cities surrounding the Adriatic Sea. One of our favorite memories from that trip was in Montenegro, where we hiked to a small farm outside the city walls. We sat for an afternoon, eating meat, cheese and bread made on the farm and getting to know the owners.

That is our favorite way to travel… finding a small, cozy location and using it as a “home base” to get to know the local culture, including local delicacies, people, and past times. We hope to give you a similar experience and that you make our flat your “home base” in Seattle.
