Tim is a great host and the grounds are wonderful. The entire region is definitely on the expensive side, and this property isn't an exception, so it's not great bang for buck in the grand scheme of things. Additionally, guests should be aware that the water is rather sulphurous. Tim provides a water filter which works great for drinking but the smell makes showering, particularly with a larger group, rather difficult.

Great location and beautiful property. The water smells badly of sulfur - showering was especially difficult. Tim was a great host though!

Tim welcomed us on our arrival with wonderful home made wine, peaches from a tree in his yard, and cheese & crackers. We enjoyed telling stories under the stars on the patio, and the fresh pesto with pasta was an added bonus. We immediately felt at home and enjoyed the cottage in the woods immensely! Tim's recommendations for hiking, touring vineyards, and restaurants with live music made our stay very special. I recommend Tim highly as a host, and his cottage was very comfortable and charming. Great experience!

We came here for a bachelorette party weekend and it was absolutely fantastic. All of us were very comfortable with the sleeping accommodations, and Tim was a fantastic host who greeted us all with homemade wine and gave us suggestions on where to pick up groceries for the weekend. The bride mentioned that this was all she could have asked for in a bachelorette weekend.

Tim's bunkhouse cottage is in a beautiful setting in Glen Ellen and our group of 6 really enjoyed staying on the property. It was a perfect distance away from Sonoma wineries, and we even trekked the windy Trinity Road to cross over to St. Helena a few times during our stay. Check-in was a breeze - we pulled up to the house and Tim was waiting for us with some wine and cheese! We met his friendly ridgeback dog Kingston, his cat (Puss), and 2 horses (Vladimir and Papillon). Our group enjoyed the beautiful scenery and also took advantage of the outdoor hot tub by the creek. As some previous reviews have stated, the water does have a sulfur smell to it - but this is minor compared to the experience of staying at his cottage. Just be sure to bring a case of bottled water and you'll be fine.

Really beautiful property. The house was a bit smaller than expected, but our group of 6 was able to squeeze in okay, and the outdoor areas were great for dinner. Note that the water in the house has a very strong smell of sulphur.
