Lucy's is in this fabulous creative suburb. Walking distance from here are craft beers, fresh roasted coffee, art spaces, live music venues, locally produced food, clothes, books, restaurants, farmer's markets (Saturdays), all in all, a vibrant community. Buses are all close by and the river ferry takes you to the uni or a scenic river ride to the city and beyond. Hire scooters and cars too. Our space is a green, quiet, well treed with herb gardens, a frog pond and loads of native wildlife

This little apartment is naturally insulated. Beautiful rainforest and native mature trees in the yard, and 100year old recycled timber from the original house line the apartment's walls. Ceiling fans in the bedroom, and an air conditioned living space, a fully furnished kitchen including all cooking requirements, dishwasher, and appliances, and private deck screened with fragrant vines, it is an ideal location from which to enjoy all this neighbourhood has to offer. The bedroom is carpeted and the living area has native timber flooring with a rug. Curtains give privacy also in the bedroom and the living room. The apartment will be in 'clean drawer' condition - for your exclusive use, with none of our personal items stored in the apartment.

The apartment is self contained with a private deck, accessed via timber stairs. The yard (which you can park in if needed) is grassed, giving shade under the trees. The front yard is cool and private and accesses the driveway and the walkway to reach the apartment. You can drive down the driveway situated at the side of the building or access the apartment via a walkway on the opposite side of the building. Both access ways have lights to automatically turn on at night to light your way home after dark. There is a small frog pond and vegetable/herb garden at the rear of the garden which you are most welcome to access too!

We respect greatly our neighbours and therefore ask you to be mindful that any noise is kept to a minimum thus no noise after 9.30pm during the week. There are many birds in the local environment, so if you are a particularly light sleeper, may we suggest you close your windows. Kookaburras, lorikeets and magpies can raise you from slumber at sunrise!! Please note that the entry access is via 5 stairs. We have part of our water supply collected and stored in rainwater tanks as we are often drought affected, so we would truly appreciate your holding in mind to not waste this precious resource.

We're from Brisbane, Australia, have three grown daughters, all well travelled. Mike and I are both no longer working for the man, having had our own businesses for most of our lives. Travelling recently has been by motorbike, both in Europe and Australia. Walking and camping have been the family style of holidays, and we have backpacked as a family many places around the world. We also love reading, music and conversation. Meeting fellow travellers gives us a great sharing experience and often stories are valuable resources for future trips. We have a Cairn terrier (the busiest dog we know), a Kelpie (Red Dog) and an adopted rag doll cat, and, they are best mates. Our daughters all live close by and are pursuing their careers. They are available if we are out of town. Mike surfs, kite surfs, bicycles and motorcycles and has many timber craft projects always waiting to be completed upon our return from trips. I love reading, travelling, encouraging the garden to produce some food, playing tennis, trail walking, cooking, and chatting over a wine (or beer depending on the heat of the day!) We shop fresh almost each day and can give you loads of info regarding the best places locally to source great fresh food too!

Please let us know your preference with regards to privacy/lots of conversations and information, and we will accommodate your request to the best of our ability.
