A GREAT LOCATION, SPACE FOR FRIENDS AND FAMILY

• Upscale 4 story brick townhouse in Chicago's Lakeview neighborhood

• 3 bedrooms, 3 1/2 baths, room for 7 or more
• 2,450 square feet of space, extra wide with a great layout
• Granite counters, a gourmet kitchen, hardwood and carpeted floors
• Walk in shower and jacuzzi tub in Master Bathroom
• A comfortable warm and inviting atmosphere with rich wood and leather furniture. Tiffany style mission table lamps cast a warm glow that suggests relax and enjoy vs a more formal atmosphere.
• Two decks with flowers in season
• A small landscaped gated yard with landscape lighting in season
• New LG and Samsung appliances and televisions
• New Washer and Dryer

LAYOUT BY FLOOR

• FIRST FLOOR: Glass door entryway, entry closet, den/exercize area, laundry, with hardwood and stone floors. Two car attached garage.

• SECOND FLOOR: The kitchen and a combined open dining and living room area. The kitchen is well equipped with mosts everything you need to indulge in cooking or barbecuing. There is a wrought iron deck off the kitchen with a sitting area, fountain and gas grill. It also has large island, granite countertops and newer LG and Samsung Appliances (2014). We stock a minibar for your with complimentary bottled water, soft drinks, snacks along with coffee and tea,,

The second floor also includes a dining areas with a cherry dining table for 4 but expands to seat ten. The living room has a large leather sectional couch and a 55" LG Smart TV with HBO and Netflix.

• THIRD FLOOR: Two bedrooms, 2 baths, linen closet. Master bath is travertine tile with walk in shower, dual sinks and a separate jacuzzi tub. Each bedroom has ATT cable. Guest bath is standard bathroom with regular tub and shower. Linen closet

• FOURTH FLOOR: A loft area with a home office with two work stations, fax and copy machine, office supplies. A nice place if you have some work to do during your trip. This open format includes a bedroom, bathroom and storage closet. There is a deck off the office and the fire escape is a set of stairs adjacent to the townhouse and accessible from the deck. Teak patio furniture, flowers etc.

OTHER FEATURES:
• Two central air systems, one for first and second floor, second, for the third and fourth. The home is quiet at night, bright and cheery during the day
• Integrated alarm, smoke and security system with very loud local alarm. Easy no-key electronic entry allows for self check-in with no hassle. The alarm will not go off when you enter. You will hear a door chime.

Guests have access to the entire home
• We do lock up a couple closets
• Only one of two garage parking spaces is available for guests
• The garage is attached and accessed through the alley in back of the home
• We leave a remote in the kitchen and there is button to open and close the garage door in the garage by the door to the house

• There is free street parking. We recommend parking on Lakewood Ave. overnight. From 6am to 8am, no cars can be parked on Belmont Ave. due to street cleaning. Parking is usually not a problem, at peak times you might have to drive around the block once or twice. No special permit is needed on Belmont or Lakewood.

Guest access to the house is keyless simple fast and secure:
• Front door has electronic keyless numeric lock
• Your code serves as your key so no need to get keys
• All codes are erased after each visit and you pick your own
• Check-in is 3pm
• Deadbolt automatically locks
• Please note there is a door chime you can hear throughout the house each time the front door, the door to the garage or the doors to the decks are opened.

• Guests agree to adhere to house rules and standard hotel rules

• Please contact the owners anytime 24/7 if something comes up or you have a question. We want you to enjoy your stay so contacting us any time is not a problem.

We are available by phone 24/7, please give us a call anytime if something comes up or you have a question. We respect our guests privacy by never entering the home during a guest's stay unless we have contacted you in advance except in the unlikely case of an emergency and such advance notice could not be given.

Lakeview is one of the more fun and desirable places to live in Chicago, balancing quiet tree lined streets with an upscale, vibrant and diverse urban atmosphere that makes it an ideal place to 'base yourself'.

There are to many to mention great restaurants in the area with one of the best right across the street. Take a look at our guide for some ideas. If you need to get to downtown for work or shopping, Lakeshore Drive is just five city blocks away. In addition, for the Cubs fans you can walk to Wrigley Field and if your not you usually can hear the fans sing "take me out to the ball game" when the seventh inning rolls around. Further, throughout Lakeview, there are great places to shop, cafes and at night a vibrant, diverse nightlife including two theaters (773 and the Wit) and live music just a block or less away.

The every changing Southport Corridor starts just a half a block away and Amazon books, two new restaurants and two new spas have opened in the last month or so. Definitely walk over there if you have time.

The spring summer and fall are the best time to enjoy Chicago and Lakeview with its numerous art fairs, concerts, baseball games, the air show and other events, is also central to most things you might want to do in greater Chicago.

This property is a great place to base a family or a group of friends to enjoy a great week or weekend in Chicago.

- one of the best new restaurants in the city directly across the street (Fahlstrom's - mainly seafood but great variety on the menu),
- live nightly indie and rock music most nights a half block away
- just a few more steps to the booming Southport Corridor with its eclectic shopping, new spas and wonderful restaurants; and
- coming soon, third-in-the-country, (URL HIDDEN) bookstore;
- two theaters with nightly live performances (very fun and very reasonable) one block away;
- great fresh bagels and homemade cookies a couple hundred feet away;
- 4 major grocery stores are nearby, by with Whole Foods and the new Mariano's being the best of those; and
- of course, Wrigley Field home of the 2016 World Series winning Cubs! (Still can't believe it). Leave your car here in the garage, you can walk to Wrigley Field to catch a game and save $50 in parking! However, the home is not to close, where you would find the large game day crowds. The townhome is sufficiently away from the Wrigleyville bar area crowds and noise. Our home is in a quieter area of Lakeview.

Lakeview is a good place to base yourself if you like an urban neighborhood feel to your trip yet access to downtown and the northside. Its about a 20-25 minute drive to reach Northwestern and Evanston. However, the location of the home its central to most anything you could want to do in the city, making it an ideal place to base yourself or your group. Many professionals live in this area and its just a short taxi ride downtown or just hop on either of two "L" trains that can take you downtown to the Sears/Willis Tower, Lasalle Street, State Street, Michigan Ave. and such in a few minutes.

The home is a short walk from the Belmont and Southport L stations which connect you to the entire city of Chicago

Theres a Divvy bike station a half block west of here and a 2nd one that is a block and a half east of here

The area is easily accessible by car, parking is included, additionally there is free street parking all around. Do be aware of early morning restrictions and street cleaning signs.

Cabs are usually easily hailed right outside or Uber and Lyft are here within minutes.

Out front you can catch the #77 Belmont bus 24 hours a day, taking you to Wrigley, Halsted, Broadway and the lake or the opposite way to catch the Blue Line L train which goes right to O'hare. Public transportation from O'Hare is about $4, taxi can be from $32 to $45, depending on traffic, w/o gratuity.

• All bed linens, duvet covers and mattress pads are washed for each visit

• Kitchen is reasonably well equipped for cooking and guests. Dinnerware and glassware for 10-12 is never a problem.


• INFANTS: Please note we do not have a crib or the typically baby necessities.

• CHILDREN: We do not have child safety gates on the stairs. We leave it to you to decide the suitability of a four floor residence for you and your guests.

• FIRE SAFETY: Upon arrival please remind each guest to take a moment and familiarize themselves with they layout of the home and its exits in the highly unlikely event a quick exit might be necessary.

On the first floor your can exit through the front door and the garage. On the top (fourth) floor you can exit onto the deck and just to the right of our unit is a stairway fire escape you can use to get down. The home has smoke alarms and carbon monoxide detectors on each floor and their are fire extinguishers in every bedroom, the loft office, the living room, two in the kitchen and one in the front entry closet. There is a sound proof fire wall between our unit and the next one and we are an end unit.

James's place is terrific! Great location with easy access to train service and lots of retail and restaurants within walking distance. The street is fairly busy which lends to a bit of noise, but that didn't bother us. We were in Chicago with our four kids (ages 13-23) and they loved it. The apartment is quite nice and comfortable - in fact it's nicer than depicted in the photos. Very spacious and two nice decks too. There are three flights of stairs in the unit so just be aware of that. James is a gracious host and more than willing to offer help as needed. He even extended us a late check out which was nice as we had a later flight and the weather was beautiful. Would definitely stay here again with family or friends. Thank you James!

James is an excellent host. Everything that you could possibly need/want is provided. James is readily available if you have questions. The place is gorgeous. Close to everything. I could not have found a better place to stay in Chicago.

James was an amazing host. He was attentive and truly cared for our experience in Chicago. He gave us great tips for where to go and eat. The home was warm and spacious with 1st class amenities. I was surprised by the items he provided from toiletries to nice fuzzy towels and a space heater in the loft. The home was amazing, 10/10 would recommend for anyone!
