Great place to meet with friends and relax with a few drinks and a fire. No neighbours so noise is not an issue. Wildlife exploring on 400 acres, fishing, boating and swimming nearby. Close to the Havelock jamboree and the RPM show. All paper plates, bowls, cups, knives, spoons and forks are provided as well as pots and pans for cooking. We have two 2 burner propane stove and 2 barbecues. We have a pond for skating this February and March as long as I determine that the conditions are safe. There is a fire pit with wood provided. There is also a generator to power the toaster over, toaster and coffee maker.

You will be able to walk, cross country ski or snowshoe on all of the 400 acres.

You will have a do it yourself experience. I am always available to call if you have questions or need help

Other than the trails and cabins this wilderness is untouched. You can take a Greyhound bus to the town of Marmora . And from there 6 km trip in a taxi will get to the cabin.

We have waterfalls for swimming within 5 minutes drive. Fishing on the river 1 km away.

The toilet is an outdoor building which we keep very clean. They is running water hot and cold and a shower in the month that the temperature is above freezing. I greyhound bus can be taken from Toronto to the town of Marmora. From there how taxi can be taken for about 6 km to the cabin

A very nice place to get away from hassle and the bussle of the City. Full moon made our stay even more attractive. Love to go more to this place.

Robert's place was excellent. We went during a warmer spell in February and found that the cabin got incredibly hot during the night. You may want to open a window if you have the fire going all night. His property is beautiful and we took our cross-country skis through some of his bush. I would definitely visit again.

This was one of the best airbnb places we have ever stayed! We loved our stay, and would definitely stay here again. Robert was extremely helpful, and there were no problems even though be requested to book last minute. Beds are comfortable, the air is so fresh, and it is nice and secluded. Highly recommend it.

Robert was a very gracious host and the cottages were great for my buddies and myself. Lots of fresh air and plenty of privacy.

If you are a nature lover but new to the cabin experience this is the spot for you. The property and surrounding area is beautiful and Robert was wonderful enough to drop in and make sure we were all topped up on propane, water and supplies for the weekend. There is electricity, a BBQ, fire pit and all the essentials you need from a kitchen. A beautiful swimming spot is just a short drive away and so is a town should you need to buy any supplies. I definitely hope to visit this place again next summer!!

This is a little slice of paradise. Robert was more then helpful and was very good with communication, we had a little trouble unlocking the gate at first but I phoned robert and he was there within 20 minutes to assist. The waterfalls in the area were simply stunning, one of the most beautiful spots i've ever been to and incredible for swimming and fishing. The cabins and outhouse were very neatly kept as well as fully stocked with key things we needed (paper plates, knives, toaster, mini fridge). All in all an amazing experience and we will deff be back.

I'm glad you and your group had a good time in the area. It is definitely beautiful piece of nature which is almost a kilometre off the road for peace and quietness. Our town of Trent Hills is very scenic with the Trent river flowing through it with several other key attractions such as the suspension bridge which band 365 feet across some fast water and lots of other sites. I would be glad to have your group back anytime. Cheers Robert

A unique place to stay. Off the grid, self-sufficient hunting cabin and very good for a nature stay if you're looking to rough it. The property is large and we didn't see/here anyone while we were there. Just what we think might have been a moose! At the price for 2 individuals, it would have been fantastic. We were 7 and the price increase per person really threw the financials out of whack. I recommend this for groups of 2 or less.

I am glad you found solitude at our cabins. Between the 2 cabins there are 6 single bunks. Both cabin have propane heat. There is also a 16 foot by 8 foot lounging area with a wood stove to heat it. Barbecue and all cooking facilities including all plates, cups, ect are included. You can use all the wood you need for that and to make a fire outside and walk all of the 400 acres. At a price of $30 a person for 24 hours it should be well worth it.
