Su questo annuncio

Built in 1832, Bayview is a fusion of modern and historical in a cosy protected cottage. Bayview Ave is a cultural oasis, with eclectic neighbours. The airport, city centre, coast, train and bus stations, are all only 20 mins away. Family friendly.

50 Bayview Ave was built in 1832 to house a naval officer working in the customs house on the River Liffey. A servant lived in the basement and catered to the needs of the officer using a bell system.
The house is a protected structure because of it's architectural significance. It is one of only 8,600 protected structures in Dublin city.
Bayview has unique period features: a marble fireplace, window shutters, high ceilings, railed gardens and many more.
There is 240Mb/s internet.
Bayview has a cot, a stroller, a high chair and a play desk for children to use.

Accesso ospiti

Guests are welcome to live like an officer with full privacy in the house and gardens.
Guests are not permitted to access the basement.

We had a perfect stay in Noel's typical Irish cottage near the city centre. Everything was there and the furniture made our Irisch experience complete. The communication was also really good, and we recommened this appartement to anybody who wants to visit Dublin.

Great place to stay for a couple. 10 minute drive into the downtown area, right next to Croke Park if you are seeing a game. WiFi was perfect all weekend. Noel is very quick to respond to any questions you may have. Plenty of free parking available on the street. Would definitely stay again.

It's always pretty hard to be objective in that kind of review so I'll try to be as concise as possible. The place is very nice IF you don't plan on traveling with too many adults (for instance one couple --> 2 people). Why ? Because the beds are VERY small, even for two, so if you are 1m80 tall it might be tough to sleep well (and they are not wide either). I found it expensive for what it is: you have to walk 20 to 25 minutes to get to Temple Bar so it is not as centered as other cheaper places you can find in the area and I nearly paid 600Euros for 4 nights. So yes if you are 3-4 people it's not too expensive but then you would be dealing with the bed space problem. Kitchen wares (French standards :-) were lacking and the house is pretty small so unless your goal is to spend as much time visiting the city as possible, I believe you can find cheaper than Noel's place. And we had to face a little cleanliness problem, meaning even though we paid cleaning fees, we (wife + my mom + myself) found some parts of the house in a poor state (shower, oven, some floors). About the host himself, there is nothing to say but that he is VERY nice, available and always ready to give you a hand whenever it is necessary. Really a nice person even though we didn't meet him personally. All in all, Noel's place is a nice place to stay IF you don't find anything else cheaper, IF you like walking to get to areas that are nicer (without poos on the sidewalks every 2 meters and creepy people asking for money and food) and IF you are not too many people (more than 4 adults will be VERY problematic I believe because of the beds).

Risposta di Noel:
Hi Simon, thanks for your considered feedback. You are the first guest to comment about the size of the beds. The beds are standard double beds for Ireland, and are of hotel quality. The second thing is the location; it is a 10-15 minute walk to O'Connell St, the main street of the city, which is the very heart of the city. It is about 10 minutes to walk from O'Connell St to Temple Bar, so you are correct in your observation. The place is professionally cleaned between each guest; I apologise if you found some areas wanting. As for the price, I normally keep to the Airbnb pricing guidelines, and offer discounts for longer stays. I am sorry that you found the place a little expensive. I have adjusted the pricing and discounts to be more acceptable. I will inspect the place myself and improve the place as per your valuable feedback.

Good communication, clear directions, easy access to the apartment. Nice apartment, with easy access to the city centre by bus, taxi or within walking distance. Biggest disappointment was no linen provided for the bed (only addressed on 2nd day of our stay) and hardly any bath towels. I feel these things needs to be addressed, so as not to scupper future occupants' stays.
