We are a traditional Ex-military Canadian family, who fell in love with the Philippines while backpacking Asia with our children in 2012. Our family had a loss in 2011, and that tragedy was our families motivation to get back to the simplicity of life, and what really was important. So, after 25 years of Canadian Military Service by Wayne, we decided to move our family in 2012 across the world too Tablas Island. Only after selling all our possessions in north America, were we then able want to embrace the simple lifestyle, and benefits of paradise living. The native style of the homes, the organic farming, the simple living, and the beautiful Philippine culture shaped us to design ideas, that are now a completed mountain paradise that we call HOME in Tuguis, Looc.
Our unique story, its details and how we changed everything about our lives, inspired the filming of the TV program "House Hunters International, Living off the Grid," that was filmed on Location in April 2015. TO be aired in August or September 2015.
