Beautiful historical home in nice neighborhood in New London. Built in 1852, the house offers spacious common areas indoors and out. WIFI available throughout the home. Walking distance to downtown New London where you can hop a ferry to Block Island (Memorial Day to Labor Day), the North Shore of Long Island (Orient Point/Greenport with connections to Shelter Island and South Shore), and Fishers Island. Mid-way between Boston and New York, New London has Amtrak service, and Union Station is a 10 minute walk downtown. A 10 minute drive gets you to Ocean Beach Park. Mystic, its Seaport and Aquarium are a 15 minute drive across the Thames River bridge. The casinos are a short drive, too (about 20 minutes). Plenty of off-street parking available.
There are restaurants and night spots of all shapes and sizes downtown (walkable), local bus service, and a spare bike or 2 as well.
This room features a queen bed and an adjoining bath.
Ours is a big lovely old house - lots of stairs, corners to get comfortable in, views to take the breath away. Come enjoy it, and the Whaling City, as much as we do.
NOTE: We have several other rooms available. Full (hot) breakfast Saturday and Sunday; continental breakfast Monday-Friday.
No kitchen access. Smoking outside only, please. And since we have to slog off to work, no REALLY LOUD NOISE after 11 on weeknights, thanks.
