Dutch cocktail workshop at Bols Cocktail Experience

Learn the art of mixology in this hands-on class—a chance to shake and stir your own cocktail at the Bols Cocktail Experience in Amsterdam. • You'll be guided through a curated tasting of Bols liqueurs and genevers (gin-like spirits made of malt wine and juniper) as I explain their flavor profiles, aromas, and uses in classic and modern cocktails. • As an expert mixologist, I’ll demonstrate cocktail-making techniques and teach you how to balance flavors using the distillery’s Amsterdam-inspired menu. You'll practice using different ingredients, garnishes, and glassware for your drinks. • Best of all, you'll get to craft your own signature cocktail using Bols spirits and seasonal ingredients. The history of Amsterdam & Netherlands through a beer glass

Join me, a beer sommelier, for an immersive 3.5-hour dive into Dutch beer culture and history with a pub crawl through Amsterdam’s Old Town to uncover how beer shaped Dutch history—from medieval times to the modern craft beer revolution. • We will meet in Dam Square right in front of The Royal Palace and then take a 5 minute walk to our first venue. • Our first stop will be De Pilsener Club, a cozy traditional bar that opened in 1893. Sip a classic beer and jenever—a juniper-flavored liquor popular in the Netherlands—as I explain beer’s impact on trade from the Middle Ages to the 17th century. • Next, head to the tasting room at In De Wildeman to enjoy a carefully chosen beer from the selection of 18 on tap and 250-plus in bottles. I’ll discuss the effects of the Industrial Revolution on commercial brewing. • Wrap up with a locally brewed craft beer at Proeflokaal Arendsnest, which has more than 50 Dutch beers on tap and more than 100 types in bottles. As we reflect on how beer styles have evolved for modern palates, you’ll leave with suggestions for more places to drink good beer in Amsterdam.

Want to learn how to make your own delicious edibles? At Get Baked Amsterdam we pride ourselves on offering a unique once in a lifetime high quality experience. We'll be meeting you at the local dispensary that we are cooperating with. Here we will buy the special ingredient together as a group. After, we will walk back to our workspace where the experience will start. We will be teaching you how to make delicious brownies (9 pieces per pair) and gummy’s, step by step. Meanwhile, we would love to educate you on the Netherlands in general, such as it’s history, culture and customs. As well as telling the story about its extraordinary relationship with cannabis. We find it of paramount importance to facilitate a safe, welcoming, and trustworthy environment for everyone who wants to participate. Even if you just would want to observe, and instead learn how to make normal brownies and gummies from scratch, you are very welcome to join. We cater to vegan and gluten-free dietary wishes but only with a minimum of 2 people since the baking takes place in pairs. These options are only for the brownies; gummies include gelatine. Jamaican 'dinner party with strangers' in Amsterdam

Ashs Plek (Ash's Place in English) is a pop-up restaurant serving authentic Jamaican food in a dinner party style in cool and cosy locations around Amsterdam. The concept is simple. You and your guests will join me and others around the dining table where I will serve a 3-course set menu curated to showcase the best of Jamaican cuisine. You can wash your meal down with my selection of homemade Jamaican cocktails and soft drinks or our professionally paired wines. There are three Set Menus on rotation at Ashs Plek so each dinner party and there is always a vegan friendly set menu option available (if you let me know in advance). The three course dinner costs €55. You will pay a €10 deposit through Airbnb and your final bill can be settled by cash or card at the end of your meal. We accept all major cards and contactless payments. Drinks are available to buy on the day and our menu is available on our website (search Ashs Plek online). Along the way, we'll discover the secret places of Amsterdam East an up-and-coming area full of design shops. Amsterdam East is much safer for cycling, because the city center has become far too busy these days I'll lead you to surprising and beautiful eateries beloved by locals. At each spot we'll be welcomed by the owners and treated to delicious breads, cheeses, smoked mackerel, and more. We end the tour at the brewery 't IJ. Other things to note The minimum number of participants to start a tour is 4 (four). Bring a bottle of water, sunglasses, rainwear, rent a bicycle. Please note, the food is not vegetarian.
