Pasta fatta a mano con nonna

Cook with the best Italian chefs ever: obviously our grandmas, the Nonnas from Palombara! The grannies of our small village will show you how to prepare the perfect handmade pasta—no machines, just your hands, the freshest local ingredients, and love. All of these women started to make pasta in their childhood, keeping alive a tradition that is slowly disappearing. And they are ready to pass it to you! You’ll be part of our crazy big family for a day and join us as we walk the tiny medieval streets of Palombara Sabina to Grandma’s kitchen, located in the old winepress where our great-grandpas used to make wine that the community tapped straight from the barrel (or in Grandma's home... according to the weather). It's a special place for our family and the entire village. We will cook Ravioli, Fettuccine and Farfalle... you will be in a food coma at the end of the experience! You are invited to our historic studio in the bustling Monti neighborhood where we will share ancient secrets about the craft that you can apply to your own work of art. Surrounded by original tools, sketches by famous Italian artists, and important mosaic masterpieces, you will learn about distinctly Roman techniques. During this course, you will create your own unique piece of art — utilizing the principles of texture, composition, and marble tile cutting in the process. A master mosaicist will guide you based on ancient Roman mosaic rules and methods. You will leave the workshop with a one-of-a-kind, 7 by 5 inch masterpiece to commemorate your time in the Eternal City. Please note, this workshop requires handling various tools. For safety reasons, we recommend this experience to those over the age of 12.

Pastamania a Roma

Impara a preparare facilmente e con successo la pasta fatta in casa unendoti a noi nella nostra scuola di cucina situata nel centro storico di Roma. Il nostro team di chef professionisti è lieto di incontrarvi e trascorrere una lezione divertente e unica insegnandovi i segreti della realizzazione di Ravioli, Fettuccine e Tortelli in diverse forme. Ti forniremo tutti gli strumenti necessari tra cui un abito da cucina, un mattarello, un taglierino per la pasta, le uova e la farina. Dopo la preparazione, cucineremo la pasta insieme ai loro sughi. Ogni partecipante preparerà la propria pasta, poi la cucineremo nella stessa pentola per condividerla con il resto del gruppo come una vera famiglia italiana. Una salsa viene preparata in anticipo, mentre lo chef cucinerà l'altra di fronte a te. Questa esperienza durerà circa 3 ore e sarà un'opportunità per socializzare con altri viaggiatori e il tuo host in un'autentica atmosfera italiana. Durante il pasto serviremo il delizioso vino toscano biologico, che produciamo nel nostro agriturismo chiamato "Dalle Nostre Mani" con metodi naturali. We first go down to the Basilica that was built at the end of the 4th century AD above the tomb of the two martyrs Nereus and Achilleu. Then we will walk down further to the Best Preserved Catacombs of Rome. I will introduce you to the early Christian community of Imperial Rome, and of Catholicism in the city between the 2nd and 9th centuries. Ending near the Appia Antica where you are free to continue your Adventures. Ti verremo a prendere alla stazione ferroviaria di Frascati, cammineremo verso la nostra cantina mostrandovi tutti gli angoli meravigliosi di Frascati. Una volta arrivati alla nostra cantina di famiglia potrai rilassarti degustando i nostri vini di famiglia ("Frascati Superiore" D.O.C.G. e "Lazio" IGT). Ti immergerai quindi nella cultura enogastronomica preparando insieme dell'ottima pasta fresca.
