Cosa farete

Take a 1.5 hour-long exclusive, behind-the-scenes sanctuary tour where you’ll experience gorgeous views of the rolling hills and beautiful vistas, and of course, have plenty of time with the rescued animals who call Farm Sanctuary home.

We’ll start by meeting the cattle on their grassy pasture–among them Belinda, who was rescued from a cruelty case where she was given no access to food or water and was so emaciated when we rescued her that we did not know she was pregnant. Next, you’ll meet the goats in their cozy barn–like vivacious Olive, a darling of the herd who was rescued from a life of neglect and who now enjoys getting back scratches and being the star of your next Instagram post! Next, come watch our incredible pigs snuggle together, play in the mud, and roll onto their sides for their favorite treat...belly rubs!

Farm life is unpredictable. Depending on the day, your behind the scenes tour may take you to our onsite small animal hospital to visit a new or recuperating resident, or you might brush donkeys, feed treats to the chickens or visit new calves.

Meeting these animals and experiencing the Farm Sanctuary life is a beautiful experience and we promise you will leave moved by their stories and, more importantly, their ability to love and forgive.

Truly an accommodating, one of a kind experience for the area that provided insight into animal cruelty, industrial practices and alternatives to these conditions. It felt as though we were meeting individual animals, each with their own name and specific personalities that added to our experience. Highly recommend!

An inspiring example of humanity responding with passionate action. Providing a high level of attention to a rebalance what must occur (by our 1 human species) for All of Life to thrive. Thank you for sharing your perspective on care, health & well being. It’s one perspective, and it’s somebody stepping up and doing something. May all that visit walk away contemplating how to each take our own action in human kindness for the millions of species facing extinction due to our human ways of self absorption, waste, and consumption. Time for big, beautiful, positive, regenerative change! This might not be THE answer but it’s a beautiful, clean, hospitable setting to ponder .... What do you value, and what is your part? Take action!

Seeing sanctuary animals and hearing their stories was the highlight of the tour. The tour guide was very knowledgeable and clearly passionate. The tour itself does bring you around the majority of the animals but there are only few you can interact with. Lastly, the idea of changing to a vegan diet came up a few too many times and it took away from what the tour should have been - time with the animals. At one point, the tour even started talking about fish, which aren’t a part of this experience, and how they feel pain so we shouldn’t consume them either. Overall a decent experience and some powerful stories to hear about the history of many animals seen on the farm!

Our tour guide, Belle, was extremely friendly and enthusiastic. She seemed very passionate about Farm Sanctuary, its animal and its cause, which made it that much more engaging during the tour. For the most part, we were given plenty of time to see and interact with the various animals. However, the tour spacing and timing seemed to be a bit rushed once the second tour group caught up to ours. Following the initial tour, we were given the opportunity to select the animals we wanted to interact with further, which was a nice touch. Additionally, the help extended beyond the tour since our guide offered us resources and recommendations for local eateries. We highly recommend visiting Farm Sanctuary and supporting its efforts to rescue animals from abuse within the agricultural industry, and creating awareness around the issues.

I was very excited going into the sanctuary, being that I love animals and the thought of getting to pet ones I normally wouldn’t get an opportunity to.. and lemme tell ya I was not let disappointed! The animals truly appreciated the company as much as I did. We got one on one time with each animal, to pet, feed and take pictures with them without feeling rushed. We even got to visit Snickerdoodle a second time. 🐄💛 I would highly recommend visiting this sanctuary!

Amazing experience!! Not only learned a lot about the farming industry and it’s practices, but we got to connect it with the real victims and learn about their experiences. It was amazing to meet and snuggle such amazing animals who have been through so much. Andrew was knowledgeable and passionate about animal rights. It changed our perspective and the way we will continue to view the farming industry. Thank you for the work that you do! It really is incredible.
