Eat Where the Locals Eat brings true food enthusiasts to local, family-owned and operated, hidden-gem restaurants in the historic Emiliano Zapata neighborhood of Puerto Vallarta. Each restaurant features its unique riff on traditional Mexican dishes based on family recipes handed down through generations. This progressive four-stop, seven-course tour begins at the Emiliano Zapata market to meet your bi-lingual foodie guide who will charm you with stories on the history of the famed Emiliano Zapata neighborhood. The first stop is at a cucina tucked in the back of Old Town at a dead end street, just off the Rio Cuale. Once you experience it, you'll return on your own, time and time again. Stop two is a quintessential go-to restaurant for the locals who live in the neighborhood. Pass by its popular street stand, roam through the main dining area, past the kitchen, and settle into the quaint courtyard and dine al fresco (weather permitting). The third stop finds us at a local cenaduria for your choice of enchiladas and pozole and/or pigs feet - It's cuisine that is typical of a local, home-cooked meal. The evening ends with the best street cart dessert crepe in all of Vallarta.

Dove ti troverai
Guests will dine on seven courses at three family-owned and operated restaurants hidden in little nooks in the Emiliano Zapata neighborhood. All courses are family recipes handed down through generations, therefore unique to each restaurant. The neighborhood's history is featured extensively in stories provided by the guide. These restaurants are off the radar unless you are a local. They don't even have websites and owners do not speak English.
