Join scientists of Earthwatch Institute to conduct wildlife research improving the health and sustainability of the Amazon. As a social impact experience, 100% of the cost of the experience goes to this cause. Before embarking on the riverboat, we’ll visit museums to learn about Peruvian culture. Then we’ll cruise on the Peruvian Amazon River aboard a historic Rubber Boom-era vessel, spending six days surveying wildlife such as birds, transects, fish, caiman, and bats. We’ll end our research by visiting a local Cocama indigenous community.
