There are 6 indigenous communities in Puerto Iguazú, and we are going to visit one of them, Yryapu is one of the largest here, they have different trails within the jungle where they show you their traps to hunt animals, giant native trees and medicinal plants. They also explain their culture and organization, and how they build their own houses, instruments and crafts. The language they speak is Guaraní, and most speak Spanish and some Portuguese. I will translate everything for the travelers during the visit. This community started with tourism a few years ago and it is very important to support their business initiative because it offers them the opportunity to improve their quality of life and claim their culture and fight for their territory and for indigenous rights.
Il tuo host
Im a local girl from Puerto Iguazu, I grew up in this incredible place full of nature with my family and friends. Traveling is one of my biggest passion , I love to go to places where I can see nature and different cultures. I´m a vegetarian, fan of organic/healthy food and im totally against animal abuse. I really enjoy my time here, my town is small but also chill and nice, I like to cycling around the jungle and the falls, spend time with the natives at the community and hang out with travelers from all over the world. As a traveler and as a local I like to show the visitors my town, we are much more then the falls, and living near 2 differents countries makes our culture super rich and interesting. I believe this place have a special energy and vibe and I'm excited to show this to everyone!

Dove ti troverai
We are going to be in the 600 hectareas,in the Guarani territory, is near to the entrance of Puerto Iguazu,is full of trees, wildlife and jungle. Unfortunately in this area there are many 5 stars hotels, a lot of trees were cutted to build all this... and the contrast between the native communities and the hotels is very ironic and shocking.
