Nearly every day I walk Sinatra Drive in Hoboken, mostly to get exercise and take in the delicious views of the Hudson River and the Manhattan skyline. But it’s impossible not to also think of what Frank Sinatra would think about this beautiful promenade, the waterfront park that bears his name, and the bits from his life that still shape his birthplace.

The Hoboken waterfront is special, particularly because it has only recently been made over into a gorgeous promenade with panoramic views of the Hudson River and New York City. When the Oscar-winning film On the Waterfront was filmed here in the 1950s, it was a much grittier scene. Leo's, where we end the experience, is a wonderful throwback to that time and has old school charm and authenticity.
