Cosa farete

You'll join me on an International tour of 4 appetizers covering 3 regions with a focus on Quebec. We'll start with a sampling of Quebec cheeses on my private terrace (weather permitting). Then we'll move into the kitchen studio where we'll prep, cook and enjoy 3 appetizers while I coach you on making your delicious recipes. The 3 appetizers are; Indian Onion Bhaji, crispy balls of onion and spices with a dipping sauce, Asian Pork Dumplings with a dipping sauce and a Quebec Classic dessert called "Pouding Chomeur". Poor Man's Pudding is a cake baked in Quebec Maple Syrup-delish! We'll focus on the basics, taste and presentation and share our experiences of food around the world while eating yummy food! I have 25 years experience in the foodservice industry. I've worked in a variety of operations including restaurant, catering, retail, hotel, movie sets/celebrities, private chef and as an instructor with experience teaching over 300 classes. I started my culinary adventure at the New England Culinary Institute in Vermont which led me to an internship in California at the 5-Star Inn at Spanish Bay Resort in Pebble Beach. I pursued more studies at the Culinary Institute of America at Greystone, Napa Valley, California. I currently live and work in Montreal as a private chef, caterer and instructor.

The class will take place in a modern fully-equipped kitchen studio with an intimate vibe in a nice neighbourhood called N.D.G. A lovely private terrace is connected to the studio to hang out on and for smoking. I'm a 7-minute walk from Metro Station (Subway) Villa Maria, about a 15 minute ride from downtown. My studio entrance is at the back of the building. Find 5454 Duquette Ave., walk to the end of the driveway on the left to find 5452.
