This is our Introductory Hong Kong 101 Crash Course to the most classic, and quintessentially Hong Kong foods that you must-try before leaving HK, all in 3.5 hours. It’s a well known secret amongst us locals that Sham Shui Po is a food haven and now we’re letting you in on the secret. Shhhhh. Eat through HK's culture, history & traditions with us. This is great if you're a first-timer to HK - these are all the things you must-eat found in your guide book but with a twist. We're conducting the tour at the poorest district in HK for you to get a real sense of the hustle-bustle and charm of HK. We'll eat at local joints with no tourists in sight. Don't say you've been to HK unless you've had these foods. There are 5 food tasting stands and culture highlights include a meander through a busy wet market, a Chinese Herbalist visit, and education on how wonton noodles get made with a bamboo pole. Of course, the food will be epic: HK style BBQ meats, bamboo rod made wonton noodles, milk tea & dessert, egg waffles, and Michelin starred dimsum. In between the food stops, we'll also be visiting a wet market to see where the locals buy their groceries. One lucky guest will get their pulse read by a Chinese Herbalist & have a tongue reading as well. Not a novice? Try our intermediate level tour: Whampoa Off-the-Eaten Path Food Tour instead - you won't find those foods in a guide book.

I'm Virginia & I run a local food tour company called Humid with a Chance of Fishballs Tours in Hong Kong (HK). Sound familiar? We took Foodie Youtuber Mike Chen from Strictly Dumpling around for street food. https://youtu.be/iFhqs3AyTAY How we wok n roll! We want tourists to see the real HK, thru food. You are going to eat through HK's culture, traditions & history. HCFT is a small team of guides - Virginia, John, & Kelly. We're bi-lingual (Cantonese & English). We make sure to go to the real mom & pop shops which are decades-old, & several generations passed down so you can hear all the great stories behind the people that cook the food.
