Cosa farete

You will dress up in a special kimono at my washitsu—a traditional Japanese-style tatami room nearby Shinjyuku. We will also help you with a hairstyle suited to kimonos. Then we will go out to Shinjyuku-Gyoen park (a famous beautiful big garden and a sightseeing spot for tourists), and take your pictures. We will take you the traditional tea house located inside of the park, and take a little break there in enjoying Japanese Matcha tea and sweets. Optional plan (4000-yen / person): Upon our return, I’ll share my knowledge about Japanese incense and my experiences as a certified incense instructor. Incense is more than just a refreshing scent—it has a deep relationship with traditional Japanese culture. We’ll experience the "Way of Incense"—a ceremony that will allow us to guess and identify scents. (If you want to apply optional plan. Please let us know in advance. You can pay its extra fee at the venue by cash.) <attention> * Please tell me your height, weight and size of shoes beforehand. * The kimono is only for women. If you're a man, please ask us before booking. * Capacity is 2 people but please tell us if you'd like to join with family or group.

Chiyo & Tatsuko

We are promoters of traditional Japanese culture. I'm Chiyo. I've been making handcrafts, including kimonos, for over two decades. My grandmother gave me many antique kimonos and I've been fascinated by the art of kimono. I'm a certified kimono instructor with the skills to dress others in this traditional Japanese garment. I'm Tatsuko. Since childhood, I've been fascinated by the incense which can change our moods. I left my busy career in information technology to pursue my passion in Japanese culture. I'm now a kohshi—a certified Japanese incense instructor—in order to help others relax.
