Gratis parkeermogelijkheid.
  • The place is awesome, minimalist and very quiet. Around them there is a lot of peace, she was very nice considering my check in and check out. And not far as I think from the Amsterdam centre. Completely recommended.

  • Very convenient for a single traveller. Great location and Karin is very hospitable!

  • Far from city center, but easy to come with public transport. Fare price, comfortable room :)

  • Extraordinary good and relaxed. Definitely recommend!

  • Karin is such a friendly, welcoming and respectful host. She always responded fast and also shared useful tips about Amsterdam and public transportation. Check-in was super easy and Karin made me feel at home. Her place is across the water from Amsterdam Centraal and I quite enjoyed hopping on the free ferry to get there. The room is neat and bathroom was super clean. You will have extra privacy because the corridor where the bathroom and room are can be closed off, so it feels like you have that part of the apartment just for yourself. I would definitely recommend Karin's place.

Discover what it feels like to live like a Dutch person on a houseboat! There is a comfortable double king size bed in your room. Next to your room is a modern shared bathroom. You can enjoy your breakfast in the special breakfast nook and watch the many varieties of water birds swim past or on the private veranda directly on the water. Situated on the IJ river close to the cultural hub NDSM and only a fifteen minute busdrive to the central station. You can park your car for free.

  • The houseboat is a lot more spacious than expected. A lovely, safe, area with an even lovelier host! The free ferry over to the center city of Amsterdam was a great plus too. The included breakfast each morning is a wonderful spread! The bed is the comfiest bed ever. A great place to stay.

This bedroom is located on the ground floor of our houseboat with fantastic views over the water. We live in the city, but also nationally. Within walking distance from the NDSM WHARF, good restaurants, a supermarket and just 15 minutes to city center by free Ferry.
A place in the city and still enjoy the outdoors, this is what we offer. Our houseboat lies in upcoming / hot Amsterdam North close to the NDSM shipyard. The room is located on the quiet water side with stunning views over the water. The best way to wake up! In summer you can enjoy the sun in our garden or terrace on the water and even swim. But in the other seasons it is also relaxing and wonderful.
This district is popular by the many cultural activities on the old NDSM site (walking distance). The dynamic center of Amsterdam is only 15 minutes, take the bike and free ferry and you're there. You can also 8 minutes walk from the ferry or bus (10 minutes). If you want to cycle, take a ride through the beautiful city and / or go to the countryside can too. There are possibly bikes. It only takes 5 minutes and you're in the country. You can even visit Volendam, Edam and Durgerdam. You can park for free. There is always enough parking space. Amsterdam Center has many restaurants, bars and clubs. To see beautiful film about Amsterdam (website hidden) But also in North Amsterdam are within walking distance many good restaurants. We all know them, so feel free to ask for information. DEAR VISITOR OF AMSTERDAM A hearty welcome to Amsterdam, our capital and largest city and the financial and cultural centre of The Netherlands. Amsterdam has almost two million visitors a year and with reason! Amsterdam has so much to offer. There are the canals, full of character in every kind of weather. You can take a canal cruise boat and view the seventeenth century houses from the water, or just take a walk. Then there are the museums. Amsterdam is the place to be for Rembrandts, Van Goghs and modern art. The theatres present shows mainly in Dutch off course, but opera and ballet are universal languages. The Spiegel- kwartier and P.C. Hooftstraat are rich shopping grounds for fashion, jewellery and antiques. When it comes to food and drink, Amsterdam offers the wide range you would expect of a big city: from little fast food stalls to Michelin-star gourmet restaurants and bars and nightclubs in all sorts and sizes. Whatever your liking, Amsterdam is an exciting city for everyone. We give you some handy facts, figures and customs to make you enjoy your stay even more.

  • Joke and Gerard are the epitome of hosts extraordinaire. So kind, friendly and accommodating. Their house is beautiful and clean, with a gorgeous place for lounging by a canal. Gerard even took me on a boat tour through all of the canals, highlighting some interesting facts along the way. Was always met with a smile and offer to help. Would love to stay here again in the future.

    Tony&Amy2018-07-02T00:00:00Z
  • We felt right at home with joke and Gerard. The house is nestled in a beautiful area along the Amstel river and is within a reasonable walking distance from the ferry that takes you the central station.

    Nico2018-07-19T00:00:00Z
  • Very good host and house. Gerard and Joke welcome me warmly and gave us a very kind to me. When I depart and arrive, they pick me up Ferry stand. The house is good location, close to water terrace, quiet area, clean room, cute cat.

    Ryuta2016-09-03T00:00:00Z
  • This was my first Airbnb experience ever. And wow, Joke and Gerard's hospitality is unmatched. They are so kind and accommodating. They are very responsive when contacting them which is quite handy if you don't know the area or country that well at all. They live very close to the city. It's just a ferry ride away and the ferry is free. They have bikes if you want to bike around the city like a local. Staying with them was among my favorite part of visiting Amsterdam. The view on there house boat is so beautiful. Waking up and coming back to that is really quite refreshing. The only thing I'd be aware of when choosing this location is it is difficult to get an Uber driver to take you back to this location since most of the drivers are in the city and this is across the water. But really, it's not too bad of a walk at all. I would definitely recommend them. And when I come back, I will be sure to pay them a visit.

  • Our room was clean and comfortable and had a beautiful view of the water. It was sooo nice to dip in the water at night before bed & shower on the HOTTEST days on record in Amsterdam. Joke & Gerard were hospitable, friendly, and gave good advice for getting around. Pllek restaurant/bar/beach/music venue in their neighborhood is AWESOME!!! GO! There were was a hiccup on our trip as previous guests were not checked out or even at the house upon our arrival (it was not known when they were returning to pack up). We had to leave our bags at the door after our flight and clean up in the bathroom as much as we could and just head out into Amsterdam for the day. Ideally, given how hot it was, we probably would have showered and rested first. The houseboat was really dreamy, calm, and secluded in comparison to the bustle of the city center--I liked that with a ferry ride we were able to escape the madness. A special retreat within the city of Amsterdam.

    Shannon2018-07-28T00:00:00Z
  • Joke always has good tips about Amsterdam around! Gerard always feed you up with good food and wine! The house is very beautiful, clean and comfortable. I enjoyed every morning, just opened my eyes could see the lovely birds on the water. I even could pictured with the swans! The neighbourhood is lovely too. Very lucky I could try the dutch "cha siu" from their very friendly neighbour! In short, staying here like at home all the times. A real airbnb recommended. Definitely will bring my hubby next time!

    Raphael2015-09-17T00:00:00Z
  • Joke and Gerard are some of the most generous and warm people I've met on my travels. I was provided with detailed and an extremely accurate way to get to the houseboat but since my flight was delayed a fair bit, Gerard came to pick me up from the ferry which was very nice, and since it was quite late in the night, they even heated up some dinner for me once I got to the house. The room and the houseboat are exactly how the pictures show it, and had warm touches all over, from the oversized shower, the paintings on the walls, and their beautiful kitchen. The view however, from the room and house, is quite spectacular and the most positive experience of staying here. If you want a different yet authentic experience of Amsterdam then this is where you want to stay, it's an extremely easy commute to and from the central station, and Joke and Gerard went out of their way to suggest places of interest, and things to do in Amsterdam. We even went for an amazing boat ride on the smaller boat, a huge bonus because the best way to see Amsterdam is by water. I'd recommend Joke and Gerard's houseboat as a place to stay to everyone, and would definitely stay here again when I return to Amsterdam. I can't thank them enough for their hospitality.

FREE PARKING //// FREE FERRY TO CENTRAL STATION //// FREE WIFI The room is a very stylish studio with a luxury bathroom and kitchenette. It's connected to a big outside shared garden room with fireplace. Free access to the garden and waterfront where you can swim and relax. Recommendation for Anne Frank museum: We suggest you to book tickets to ANNE FRANK asap as it is quickly fully booked.
A place in the city and still enjoy the outdoors, this is what we offer. Our houseboat lies in upcoming / hot Amsterdam North close to the NDSM shipyard. The loft is situated next to our houseboat in our garden area. You will have full access to the whole shared area including waterfront In summer you can enjoy the sun in our garden or terrace on the water and even swim. • I stayed with Joke En Gerards property with my partner and two teenage children on our first visit to Amsterdam. The communication before the stay was fantastic and really friendly. When we arrived in Amsterdam, Gerard provided instructions on how to find the property, even giving us live notifications on the times of the next ferry! The location was excellent as, although we did want to stay in Amsterdam, we wanted to relax in the quieter north area that provided some relief from the busy city area. The journey into the city was quick and good fun via the free ferry. Gerard was a Brilliant host, providing a fantastic welcome for me and my family when we arrived. He gave us so many tips and suggestions that I ended up recording all the information on my phone. He answered emails/text promptly throughout our stay, providing information on our return journey when we realised that due to our early flight time, we couldn't use the ferry. The accommodation was clean, comfortable and warm with plenty of towels and spacious enough for the 4 of us. We had a brilliant stay in Amsterdam made even more memorable by staying with truly lovely people!

  • Joke and Gerard are amazing hosts. Very friendly and really open their home to you. We Got a Warm welcome with a great introduction to the area and Local tips. We used their 2 bikes everyday for touring the City. A highlight about this place is having your breakfast outside in the Sun on their houseboat just beside the water.

  • After a warm welcome, we had a wonderful stay at Joke & Gerards place. The neighbourhood was awesome and Gerard provided us with a whole lot of great activities and sights to visit. It was a great experience.

  • We had a very pleasant stay in the house. The room was very nicely furnished and recently renewed very tastefully and functionally. The position is good as it is only a few minutes away from the free ferry to central station which brings you right in the heart of Amsterdam while still being in a very quiet location but anyway close to some shops and restaurants and without any parking issues. The ferry ride was also very nice in of itself. The beds were very comfortable although the second one was a bit smaller than expected. Although the room does not provide a kitchen which means you will mostly have to eat out it has some essential items if you want to have a quick bite while you are at home (you are also quite close to a Supermarket )Gerard and Joke were very nice on arrival and responded quickly and politely to all our messages. In addition they also gave us various suggestions on what to do and see during our stay which was also very nice.

    Emanuela2018-12-02T00:00:00Z
  • Joke & Gerard's place was amazing ! A little bit out of the city center, just enough to escape the busy tones and enjoy some moments on your own. Amsterdam Nord is just as beautiful and the trip with the ferry was quite enjoyable. We were a group of 5 people, so the space was a bit crowded but with the great help of Joke and Gerard we made it work quite nicely! Our hosts were extremely helpful and available since we made our booking, their house is beautiful with the most serene view of the river from where you can enjoy a hot cup of coffee in the morning or a cold beer at night! Our stay there was unforgettable and we would definitely recommend it if you are looking for a cozy experience! Thanks a lot Joke and Gerard , we wish you all the best and hope to see you again very very soon!

    Renata2018-11-18T00:00:00Z
  • Joke and Gerard our outstanding hosts, very helpful with any information you may nee. Directions, transport , what to see etc. The inside space is comfortable for 2-3 . There are all facilitys to cook, if you purchase groceries. WIth a fridge , hotplate, microwave, kettle, toaster. There is a lovely outdoor area with a fire, which was great as it was a little cold while we were there. Indoors there is central heating. Gerard took us on an outstanding boat tour of Amsterdam, which was amazing. There are bikes available to hire too. Easy transport from Central Amsterdam with the free ferrie and a 10 min walk to the appartment. Lovely swans come up to the deck of the house boat too. Loved our stay and loved Amsterdam.

Do you like to visit the lively city centre but wish to stay in a peaceful place? Then our romantic room with use of kitchen, bathroom and IR sauna is perfect for you! It is located in a hidden picturesque water village in Amsterdam North, close to the NDSM cultural hotspot. In our garden you have your own terrace with a bbq and fireplace. You can park your car for free. On your first day Dutch breakfast will be in your fridge to make yourself with coffee and tea.
Our romantic room (20 m2) has a double canopy bed. You will have your own bathroom and infrared sauna with towels and bathrobes. The fully equipped retro kitchen is for your use only.
The water village is a nice green quiet area, close to the NDSM cultural hotspot (10 minutes walk) with a great view over “het IJ”, nice restaurants like Noorderlicht, Pllek and IJ Kantine. It is also close to the Amsterdam Tower ‘Lookout’ and the Eye Film Museum.
  • Thanks to Felix and Caro for being welcoming, thoughtful and helpful hosts! IR sauna is a warm feature :)

  • Excellent accommodations and thoughtful hosts. Felix and Caro are very friendly and can provide you with suggestions and help or give you all the privacy you want. These two made us feel like royalty! Their house is a very short walk from a free ferry to central Amsterdam and we loved the location. 5 stars all around.

  • The place is really nice : we had everything we needed and Felix and Caro were always happy to give us some advices. The boathouse is 10min walk from the free ferry and then you have 10 min of ferry to go to the central station. We recommend this great place. Thanks again for your hospitality. Xx Max & Clem.

  • We stayed at Felix and Caro's for two nights in November 2017. It is just as described on the airbnb details. Felix and Caro provided lot of details on Amsterdam and instructions for the accommodation, very useful for our short visit. There is a dedicated BBQ area at the back and above the house boat that would be great to use. Our hosts went to the trouble of asking us for breakfast preferences and stocked the fridge for our first morning breakfast with a few bottles of beer and wine

  • Felix and Caro have a gorgeous home to the north of Amsterdam main city. It was clean and private, and a unique experience if you’ve never been in a house boat before. Only a quick free ferry ride from the city it is a really great option if you’d like to experience more than just your typical areas of Amsterdam. Felix and Caro were perfect hosts, they were friendly, extremely helpful and accommodating. We had a wonderful time!

A lovely, comfortable sailing boat for rent for young adventurous people in the populair, cultural, post industrial NDSM area, close to the center. The boat is situated next to our houseboat. You’ll experience a typical Dutch way of living and have a nice view over the canal. To start touring to the beautiful city of Amsterdam you can travel by bus (10 min) or by bike and take the ferry to the center (15 min.) Good restaurants, a city beach and nice cafe’s are in the neighborhood.

  • Our hosts were very courteous and very generous. Staying on their boat made our trip truly feel like an adventure. They were extremely helpful too, Arjen knows all the spots worth visiting in town. Most days we walked to the ferry from their place, we had great weather, on the last day of our visit we took the bus from down their street and found the trip to Central Station to be much faster. We think staying on a boat instead of a hotel is a great idea, for myself the best part was jumping off the boat into the lake to wakeup on the 2nd morning (the oldest son inspired me to do so on the first morning). For Elodie the best part was buying a violet shirt for 1 euro so I would mention that to the next couple that comes to stay with you.

    Christien2016-07-25T00:00:00Z
  • we stayed in the sailingboat during 4 days. Our host were very helpful. we loved jump to get in the boat. And live in the boat like sailors was very funny. The boat is like a tiny place but it make you think about what is really necessery to live. when the night come, we were on the top of the boat to see the beautiful sky which show us shooting stars ! The neibourhood, NDSM, was a sweet industrial place with a lot of underground street arts and it was perfect to make a walk's picture Thanks a lot for everything ! Don't hesitate to book !

  • Me and my two friends had a really Nice stay at Arjen & Lisa's sailboat! It was not far from the city, easy to locate, and the sailboat had an Amazing view of the "real neighbourhood" of Amsterdam, aka houses and boats "floating" on the lake! That you don't see in the city! Arjen & Lisa were Also very helpful and kind :-) to sum up, we had a really Nice stay at Arjen & Lisa's boat, and we recommend it!

    Hedda2016-07-08T00:00:00Z
  • We've spent 2 nights on the boat, and we really enjoyed our stay. The boat was very comfortable for 3, we slept very well. The location was also perfect, the Centraal was really close and easy to reach with the ferry. Arjen & Lisa are very kind hosts and they helped us a lot to find our way around the neighbourhood. It was one of our best Airbnb experience overall.

  • Recommend this as a place to stay in Amsterdam

    Kieran2018-08-29T00:00:00Z
  • We had a phantastic weekend and enjoyed the atmosphere on this beautiful boat. It is cozy and provides all the necessities - perfect location for a weekend trip, if you enjoy private quiet time as much as short distances to city life. We will come back!

  • Everything was just as described except the view that was more scenic. Very quiet and relaxing. Was a great and unique experience. It wasn’t my first visit to Amsterdam but definitely one of the most memorable ones. Don’t miss the experience.

  • Great experience! Markus was really nice! A new way to stay in amsterdam.

  • Henri's cabin is pretty much how he describes it. Henri and his mate Markus were very welcoming and I felt very at home on their ship. The sleeping quarters are a bit cramped but it is a functioning sailing ship this is to be expected.

  • Best stay in Amsterdam if you’re looking for an alternative accommodation! The boat is spacious and you don’t miss living in the dimensions of an house and everything was clean. The area is simply amazing we really enjoyed our stay!

  • Very unique airbnb and awesome way to meet way to meet people. I think there is only one thing to not and it's not even necessary bad thing and that is the location. If you want to be in the center near Amsterdam square then this boat probably isnt it. But if you don't mind the ferry and the North side of Amsterdam then theres no problem. There are many places within walking distance for drinks and food. When you wait on the ferry there is a cool place to get coffee and snacks if you like. But the experience for me was great and everyone on the boat was so nice.

  • Henri ‚s boats are a great option for larger groups that want a genuine experience! The area is very cool and different with bars and restaurants closeby and a free ferry that takes you downtown in 15 minutes.

  • The boat was nice and clean and the owners were very nice! Just a great experience!

  • This place is amazing. The short distance to the ferry, music during the evening from the festival, the amazing hospitality and the city itself. There is no way you can't like this place. We will definitely recommend this to friends if they decide to visit amsterdam.

This is a private and comfortable studio on a houseboat which is very nicely decorated. Through the big sliding window door you can enter your own private deck which will give you a nice view over the water. You are welcomed with a complementary breakfast package to begin the day with, during your stay in Amsterdam.
You have a private lounge with a kitchenette and a comfortable sofa. The lounge is connected with a sliding door/window to a small and sunny terrace where you can drink your coffee and enjoy the water view. By climbing a small stair you will get to your bedroom with a twin bed and a window.
The studio is located in the hippest area of Amsterdam North close to the NDSM and a few minutes away from the ferry that will take you within 15 minutes to Amsterdam Central station/inner city. It feels more like a mini cruise than public transport! The area is booming with lots of bars and restaurants and occasionally a festival. You are also close to Eye Amsterdam, Amsterdam Tower and the waterfront. In what seems like direct contrast to the cutting-edge vibe, this area also has loads of lovely little villages that are ideal for exploring on foot, by bicycle or by water. Historic villages such as Nieuwendam, Ransdorp and Zunderdorp have authentic stolpboerderijen (traditional Dutch farmhouses with roofs built in the shape of a cheese-cover), wooden houses, canal locks and impressive polder views.
  • Great, unique place to stay! Great location in Amsterdam North close to food/bars/free ferry to central Amsterdam.

    Scott2019-03-20T00:00:00Z
  • The studio is in an on-water house, located in a 15 minutes free ferry ride from city center. It's small but cozy, with a wide bed upstairs. Karen has a good eye for detail and there is a lot of tourist information at the place.

    Konstantin2018-12-29T00:00:00Z
  • This was an excellent place to stay for a weekend in Amsterdam. Lovely and idealic, from the decor to the amenities, and of course a great host! Just a short walk from the ferry service that gets you to and from Amsterdam central in no time at all. You get your own private space and it really is the perfect place to start your day, and relaxing enough to end a long day out as well. Really great value, honesly can't recommend Karen's place enough :) Liam&Alice

  • Karen’s place is exceptional and was much better than we expected. The area is quiet and relaxed and it’s easy to get to the city with the free ferry. We really enjoyed the time at the houseboat and will definitely be back.

    Stephan2018-11-01T00:00:00Z
  • 5 minute walk to a free ferry. The 20 min ride to Amsterdam by ferry is so much easier than by bus or train system from the home.

    Ella2018-06-16T00:00:00Z
  • A lovely and unique place to stay. The host is friendly and very helpful. We throughly enjoyed our stay in Amsterdam.

    Emily2018-10-19T00:00:00Z
  • We loved our stay at this house it was perfect setting for our first ever trip to Amsterdam. The city can be quite over whelming if you haven’t been before and that small space at house boat 94 gave my evenings the zen and relaxation i needed to start my day all over again. The area is nice and feels very safe, we used the free ferry in to the night and felt safe enough to walk the 10 minuets between the ferry port and the house at all hours of the day. Excellent accommodation for the price.

    Heatherr2019-02-05T00:00:00Z
  • Karen’s houseboat studio is cosy and wonderful! She’s an amazing host and is really quick at replying, the place is quiet and away from the city centre which is relaxing, but at the same time it only takes 20-30 minutes on the free ferry to get to the centre! If you manage to book her place do it ASAP! As there a very few dates available

  • Fantastic view and in total peace thanks to the excellent sound proofing. The 'egg' chair is amazing for just focusing on the view! Extremely comfortable bed; we are now looking to buy a coco-mat :) Hanging out in the hot tub at the top was very cool. A wonderful experience all round! thank you!

    Emma2018-01-14T00:00:00Z
  • Really awesome experience! Location is on the other side of the water... But a short ferry crossing of 10 mins and your at central station. Definitely a quirky experience, but with lifts that go to your room, so it works. We travelled on a festival weekend that made things a bit noisy, other than these times, when are you going to get to stay in a crane with a rainfall shower and Sonos...

    Daniel2016-09-05T00:00:00Z
  • Again, love this place. Don't hesitate to book! Awesome hotel if you're looking for something quirky and fun.

    Katherine2017-03-26T00:00:00Z
  • By far the nicest room I've ever stayed in. Nice host, great view, clean room, interesting design and plenty of space. Overall a great place to stay.

    Jackson2017-04-07T00:00:00Z
  • We were made to feel very welcome and everything was explained to us. This is such a cool place to stay and the views are amazing! Would recommend to anyone.

    Harry2016-01-05T00:00:00Z
  • One of the best places I've ever stayed! The room was beautiful and luxurious, the views were absolutely incredible, the owner was a dream. Location was perfect for 2 young creatives - an industrial area with cool bars and cafes but also pretty vast, so it's not noisey at all. Super easy to get into central. We can't wait to go back again. It's not for the faint hearted though, so if you don't like lifts/ heights - it's not for you!

FREE FERRY, FREE PARKING This tiny wooden place is situated in one of the most upcoming areas of Amsterdam: the North side.
Within 10 minutes on one of the ferries (900 meters from the house) you are at the Central Station of Amsterdam. There is a supermarket nearby and a lot of very nice places to eat/drink on a walking distance from the house.
Walking out of the garden, you go to the right and have a walk along the water, cross the bridge and enjoy the characteristic rural houses on the Buiksloterdijk or Kadoelenweg. Hire a bike and cycle to amazing beautiful small villages such as Durgerdam, Ilpendam of Broek in Waterland. In a 10 minutes walk you reach the place where it all happens: NDSM-werf. Festivals, art, terrific food, furniture, theatre, anything what makes your heart beat, you will find it there. And of course the ferry. It takes you to the heart of the city. Enjoy the free 13 minutes tour across het IJ to the Center side of the city. The trip itself is an every day joy! You will find a list of nice things to visit / restaurants you shouldn't miss.
  • Charming little cabin by the water. Slightly away from the city bustle, but very relaxing, very well maintained, stylish and very cosy.

    Henry2018-10-08T00:00:00Z
  • Miranda & Nico are nice and lovely people. We really enjoyed our stay in their cabin, they was nothing we missed. It’s a special place in a quiet neighborhood of Amsterdam. They are some special restaurants in the near and the ferry station & the bus station ist either not to far away. It’s recommended to stay there!

    Abdul2018-04-07T00:00:00Z
  • Miranda and Nico are wonderful hosts! Their big smiles were the first thing I saw upon arrival. When I entered the room, there were some fruit, snacks, and a bottle wine waiting for me on the table! Their place is very tidy and clean. They provide soap, shampoo and conditioner. And the bathroom towels are very soft! If you like light cooking while traveling, the little kitchen comes in handy, where you can find good quality cookware and coffee machine. There's a big supermarket in 5 minute walking distance. Miranda and Nico's place is about 10 minute walk to the pier where you can find some cute cafes and restaurants. There is a cute pizza place, Kebec Pizza, where you can order to take away. Their pizza is delicious! You can also easily take the free ferry into the city for about only 15 minutes. If you prefer to stay on this side of the river to avoid the city crowd like me, there is a bike rental place right at the pier. I rented a bike for 3 hours and biked to Durgedam, which was really nice! I had a very pleasant stay at this place. Miranda & Nico are very friendly yet they absolutely respect the guests' privacy.

    Ting-Chi2018-10-15T00:00:00Z
  • Maybe a little hard to find but otherwise the best airbnb I have stayed in so far.

    Clinton2018-06-03T00:00:00Z

    Hanne2018-04-28T00:00:00Z
  • We really enjoyed our stay in this cowzy cabin in the north of a'dam. a calm place but not far away from the city. a super nice place to spend some days in amsterdam !!

    Valerie2018-04-17T00:00:00Z
  • The photos do not do this place justice! The cabin is designed and decorated with great taste and comfort, in a gorgeous location on the water and in the fun Noord area only 5 minutes cycle to the free ferry to Central. Miranda and Wilbert were so friendly and generous, with plenty of recommendations for the weekend! Communication was great and we can’t thank you enough for such a lovely stay- see you again soon I’m sure!

Looking for a group accommodation in Amsterdam? Nothing is more fun than sleeping on a ship. The Maxima is different than usual, has round shapes, shiny showers, clean lines and coloured doors. The ship is located in the artistic neighbourhood: the NDSM Wharf in the North of Amsterdam.
The Maxima is a traditional sailing ship from 1900, but a little different than other traditional ships in Holland. With a modern interior, round shapes, lots of colours and pleasant atmosphere you feel at home right away. The living space consists of a dayroom and kitchen where you can cook, relax, be together and celebrate your holidays. There are two showers, two toilets and six cabins for two persons, and one cabin for four. There are only single beds. In total, there is space for 18 people, but during the winter months we recommend 14, because of the limited space. In the summer months, the Maxima sails on the Wadden Sea as a charter ship.
The Maxima is located on a jetty on the authentic old shipyard: the NDSM-wharf in Amsterdam North. From the boat it is a 5-minute walk to the (free) ferry, that will take you across the water to the central station in 15 minutes. On the pictures of the Maxima, you still see the old private jetty where the Maxima is anchored. Nowadays we lay right around the corner (still at the same distance from the ferry) on a shared jetty with other boats. Around the corner is the public parking space where you can park your car for €1,30 per hour (max € 7.80 p.day). Besides the famous city center, Amsterdam has a lot more to offer. For example, the NDSM Wharf, where the boat is anchored. This area emerged the last five years as one of the hippest and most creative neighborhoods in Amsterdam. In the summertime there are festivals organized every weekend, and in the winter there are all creative and cultural events in the huge industrial warehouses. At a two-minute walk from the boat, you will find Café Noorderlicht, an organic restaurant that already had sustainability and bio-products before it became a trend. In the evenings they often have live music. Tip: when night falls, go drink a local beer on the Noorderlicht terrace, overlooking the water and the Amsterdam skyline. Slightly further you will find Pllek, a restaurant built from old shipping containers, with great food and good music. And just two minutes further, you will find the ferry that takes you across the water to the centre of Amsterdam. When you choose to book the Maxima, we will send you a detailed map with al the info and walking routes. At the departure site of the ferries, there is a bakery: BBROOD!, where they serve delishious bread. Below are the times of the ferry at the NDSM site. There also exists another ferry at a a 15-minute bicycle ride distance from the Buiksloterweg NDSM ferry to Central Station. This goes every night, all night long, every 12 minutes. You will therefore always get home, no matter what time it is. Besides ferries, there is also a bus from the NDSM Wharf to the Central station and an Uber costs between €11-€16.
  • We had a great time staying on the boat. Despite the cold weather it was very warm, as was the welcome. As a first time visitor to the city it was a great base to explore from. The boat is very well equipped with a spacious dining/living area, two showers and plenty of bunks. it is also well stocked with plenty of cups and plates, and everything that you could need. If you are arriving in Amsterdam via train it is very easy to get to the ferry from the central station. It leaves every 30 minutes or so, and give you a great view of the city. We could not find any shops around the boat, so it is worth planning stocking up on provisions before catching the ferry.

    Rowan2017-02-12T00:00:00Z
  • It was a very enjoyable experience staying in a boat. Everything that was offered was all right. When we arrived at the pier, it was a little complex, because we must go through a dirt road that with the rain turns to mud. Erick was very helpful and he gave us a lot of useful information.

    Claudio2016-02-22T00:00:00Z

    Stephan2016-10-24T00:00:00Z
  • If you want an unique and different Amsterdam holiday experience for your group choose to stay on this beautiful sailing barge. We (13 people) were here for 3 nights from the UK to celebrate my 60th birthday with family and friends. The barge is moored in this urban area, next to the IJ-hallen, a massive post-industrial warehouse, clad in interesting graffiti. The regular ferry ride (every 15mins) from/to Amsterdam Centraal Station is a delightful experience in itself and if you just missed a ferry you can grab a lovely coffee from the bakery/cafe Brood. The barge is equipped with everything you need. The lounge is cosy and colourful, a lovely place to congregate and eat together. The cabins are sufficient, each with a bunk-bed and a sink, but they are very small and compact, which is alright if you just want a bed to sleep in. I recommend to bring slippers or flip-flops as the bedroom floor and floor in the corridor might get wet, as it did in our case. When it's cold outside and nice and warm inside (every room got a radiator) it drips condensation from the portholes on the floor, making your socks wet. Richard, the skipper on board, is on hand for any questions or resolving any issues, like we needed some new sheets, which was very helpful. The communications with Liv, our host, who we didn't get to see, were very friendly, helpful and clear. I would have loved to explore more of the creative and artistic side of the NDSM werf, but we didn't have the time. Perhaps a good reason to come back and if I would come with a group, I would definitely stay again at the Maxima boat.

    Paulina2016-10-09T00:00:00Z
  • the boat offers a great communal space, very appreciable for organizing a big group trip and wanting to have social time all together (which is difficult to achieve even in central city bars when you're 15 or more). There is plenty of room to stay, our group of 14 all had a bed, and there's much more space (sofas) to use if need be. The place is well heated (felt warm even in January with plenty of windows open - as needed to keep the air healthy on the boat), the two showers deliver the best warm streams i've had in a year, toilets function perfectly. You've got all the amenities to cook something, even complicated. Well it's supposed to cater for people on a sail trip and I can see it would be the best ship to do that! Rich the skipper is very friendly and explain everything, and came sometimes to check if everything with us, but not intrusive. Check-in/out was easy and straightforward, with good communication before. I recommend the place as the best and most memorable Airbnb I've ever had to rent!

    Florent2017-01-29T00:00:00Z
  • The equipment on the ship is great, clean and functional. Everything what you need is there, with a few very nice extra details, e.g. soap on every sink, great linens. The care before and during the trip is great, the owners answer all question super fast and give many helpful tips before. Also Aaron was the hole weekend achievable for us and he had made strong efforts to help us with our Problems . The environment is very rustic in the old industrial area and has charm, but you have to like that, for us that was exactly right The ferry drove often despite the Kingsday and almost the whole night, also very problem-free. For groups looking for another accommodation, this is highly recommended.

    Britta2018-04-29T00:00:00Z
  • This boat is absolutely perfekt. We were a party of 9 people and had plenty of space. Everthing is clean and very comfortable. When we arrived, Erik, the Skipper, gave us an warm welcome with freshly brewed coffee. He showed us good connections to Amsterdam Centraal and recommended us some shopping opportunities. It was a very nice stay and we can only recommend this location. Its perfect if you're planning to stay a few days in Amsterdam. If your arriving by train, just take the ferry from Amsterdam Central to NDSM-Werft.

A lovely bohemian houseboat located in the cultural hotspot area of Amsterdam close to the center. You can use our flowerfull terrace to have drink, relax and enjoy living on water. To explore Amsterdam you can travel by bus (10 min.) by bike or the free ferries to the center (15 min.) A city beach with the best view at the skyline from Amsterdam, great places like the Amsterdam Tower, Eye Film Museum, Noorderlicht, De Ceuvel, Pllek are just 5 minutes walk away from the boat.

  • Wietske and Jetske were so wonderful to us during our stay in Amsterdam. As soon as we arrived, it was very easy to take the ferry over from Central Station. Jetske picked us up and was so kind to show us how to get around. They left us some food to nibble on in the fridge as well as coffee and tea. We enjoyed our time not only in the city but also with the incredible hosts. We hope to be back and to stay here in the future!

  • Sehr liebe, hilfsbereite und offene Gastgeber. Gerne wieder :)

  • The boat was super cute and cozy. Surprisingly well functioning for a boat; the shower worked well and we had no problems with anything. Wietske and Jetske were extremely helpful and welcoming, really sweet people and easy to communicate with. We spent 3 nights on the boat and the experience was awesome.

  • Best way to stay in Amsterdam! They have lovingly prepared everything on the boat and gave us all important informations about Amsterdam. When we arrived, we were even picked up from the ferry station. So, we really enjoyed our stay and the great hospitality of Wietske and Jetske. Thank you very much!

My lovely two pax apartment is located in the northern part of Amsterdam. The apartment offers a light and cosy livingroom, separate modern kitchen, comfortable bedroom at calm backside of the house and modern bathroom. You enjoy sun whole day at one of the two balconies. If you're looking for a quiet and luxurious place this is the perfect place. Also close to the action at famous NDSM area and only 20 minutes (by foot 10 minutes + ferry fare 10 minutes) away from the city centre of Amsterdam.
It is a nice and comfortable, spacious apartment in a nice and quite neighbourhood. You have access to the livingroom, dining area, kitchen, bathroom, bedroom and ofcourse the two balconies.
Directly across the water (known as ‘the IJ’) behind Central Station, Amsterdam Noord boasts the best of contrasting worlds: vast green expanses and charming little villages plus some of the city's most cutting-edge architecture, exciting festivals, artist studios and stylish waterside hangouts with beautiful terraces. A free ferry from behind Central Station will take you there in minutes; so don’t miss the chance to explore this unique area of Amsterdam.
  • Clear, modern ammenities, quiet neighbourhood. 30 minutes by public transport (bus & metro or walking & ferry) to the centre of Amsterdam.

  • Wow, what an amazing apartment Inge has to offer. It's located in the north side of Amsterdam which has a bit of a reputation for being hard to reach at times, but don't let that fool you - you can catch a bus that takes you to Centraal in 20 minutes, but why would you do that when you can walk to NDSM-werf and take the free ferry across the IJ straight into the center of the city? The apartment is located in a lovely quiet street, surrounded by friendly locals. There's plenty to see and eat down at the aforementioned NDSM-werf if you want something a bit more active. The apartment itself is beautiful! There's loads of lovely art on the walls, and as it's primarily Inge's home it feels a lot more like a home than a holiday house. The bed is super comfy, the amenities provided are plentiful (tea, coffee, sugar, shampoo, soaps, etc), and the two balconies were appreciated in the unexpectedly warm late September weather I was lucky enough to experience! I'd recommend this apartment to anyone who wants to get away from the ridiculously busy centre but still be close enough to head there whenever you desire. Inge is a wonderfully attentive host especially considering my last minute booking, and I hope to stay again one day. Thank you Inge!

  • We had a great time staying at Inge’s place in Amsterdam. The apartment is in a quiet and peaceful area, very close to the free ferry connecting you to the city centre. The apartment is beautiful, sparkling clean and relaxing. If you like cooking the stove is great! The mattress is very comfortable. We forgot something in the apartment and Inge was so kind as to send it to us per post. I would highly recommend Inge’s place. Thanks for the relaxing stay!

The Houseboat-Studio with beautifull roof top terrace is located on the topfloor of my houseboat in a little Houseboat-Village in Amsterdam North. Free parking next to the village! 10 Minute walk from the Free Ferry/Boat that brings you to Central Station. Overlooking the amazing NDSM-area with lots of bars/restaurants/markets/festivals.
Staying/living on a houseboat in Amsterdam is just the best way to relax after a busy day in city! During the night it's nice and silent in ''our houseboat-village''. The boat ride from the Central Station is a excellent way to come here, especially in combination with a rented bike which makes you free as a bird here in the city! Coffee/Tea & Refridgerator are there for you.
The Houseboat village gives you a unique holiday feeling with the pier and by neighbors self made garden etc. Just a small distance away from the beautiful but o so busy city center. Overlooking the amazing NDSM-area with super cool bars and events. This area used to be a huge Shipyard and now it’s one of the cultural/ trendy playgrounds from the city! Visit Cafe De Ceuvel, completely made from recycled materials. Furniture made from half boats. Lots of old houseboats that they put on the land where al funky businesses are and often workshops. Check it out, you won’t be disappointed for sure!
  • Super hôte ! Super accueil ! Appart très cosy.

  • Marc’s house boat Studio was fantastic to stay on! Nice quiet house boat village just next to the exciting NDSM area. The houseboat is a perfect place to end & start your day! With the right ferry connection we where at central station in 15 minutes. The Studio was very nice and just renovated it had a private entrance and a brand new bathroom. When we arrived Marc welcomed us and that day we did a awesome boat tour with his luxurious ship around the canals! Parking the car for free next to the house boat village was very convenient! We can definitely recommend this place!

Ground floor: Spacious living with open doors to the beach-style garden along the water - hall - toilet - fully equipped kitchen with oven / microwave, espresso machine, fridge, freezer, dish washer, etc. First floor: Bedroom with king size bed (160 / 210) - bedroom with single bed (90 / 200) - bathroom with shower, separate bath, double sink, toilet Top floor: Master bedroom with king size bed (180 / 210)
Newly build super comfy family house (145 m2) along the waterside in trendy Amsterdam Noord near NDSM Wharf. The garden is facing southwest, so you can enjoy and relax until the sun goes down. Please note as we have no fence between our garden and the water it is not very suitable for small children. In the summer you can swim in the open water and take a dive straight from the quay :-)
Amsterdam North has an industrial atmosphere and became one of the coolest neighborhoods over the last years. More and more hotspots are popping up and locals love to go there for the food. Visit urban beaches such as 'Pllek' or the old boat dock 'the Ceuvel' that has been transformed into a creative place that offers art, music, swimming and food. Both perfect spots to relax and enjoy the warm weather on the waterfront. Other nice places overlooking the IJ-lake are film museum EYE (enjoy the sunset on their beautiful terrace!), seafood restaurant Stork and THT restaurant. One of our favorite areas in Amsterdam North is the NDSM Wharf. North is also the place to be for vintage and thrift shopping. You can’t miss the monthly flea market in the IJ-hallen, a true second hand heaven. You can take one of our bikes and discover the picturesque villages of Nieuwendam, Schelllingwoude and Durgerdam (an authentic village with wooden fisherman cottages), Ransdorp and Zunderdorp or rural Amsterdam with lots of green meadows with cows and sheeps; it's all just around the corner of our house. Noord is not only spacious and green, but also inspiring and vibrant. Here you will find an exciting mix of experimental festivals, picturesque country villages and stylish restaurants on the water. When in the city center you can easily discover the beautiful Jordaan (with Anne Frank Museum and the cozy "9 Streets", famous for the their boutique shops and small restaurants) or the city centre and museum square (Rijksmuseum, Van Gogh Museum and Stedelijk Museum). Also the famous Dutch villages Marken and Volendam, the open air museum “Zaanse Schans” and the cheese markets in Alkmaar and Edam are within reach. The beach is only 30 min away.
  • Wilma offers a very beautiful home where you can enjoy your amsterdam trip. You need around 20 minutes to the central station and maybe 5 minutes to the next supermarket. Wilma is also a very nice person, if you need something to know she will help you perfectly. Next year I'm coming back.

This authentic ship is in the middle of the NDSM wharf which is the most upcoming and cultural hotspot in Amsterdam. Zout is just 5 minutes walking from the free ferry which brings you to the centre of Amsterdam. The ship is very cosy and comfortable. It's the best way to experience living on a ship! On the same wharf you will find bars, a bakery and restaurants with nice terraces over the IJ canal viewing the historical city.
There are 4 cabins in the ship with one shower and toilet. In the dayroom there is a heater. Here you can make breakfast. You can't cook on the ship apart from baking and cooking eggs, warming up soup, make coffee and tea. On the first morning you will have breakfast in your fridge; coffee, tea, bread, cheese, jam and meats.
  • If you are looking for an alternative and different stay in Amsterdam, this is it! Plus Jan and Riet are fabulous hosts. The boat is comfortable, cosy and is located in an über cool area. The ferry ride to get to Noord is a fun trip in its own. Highly reccommended location in Amsterdam.

  • Thoroughly enjoyed our stay on Jan's boat. Interior very homely with wood burner in main lounge area keeping it nice and warm. Comfortable beds and good shower. However, disappointed to learn that we couldn't cook our own food on the boat (microwave unplugged, texted Jan about how we could turn this on, to which he replied that we weren't allowed to cook on his boat). This would not have been a problem, except we were led to believe we would be able to use kitchen facilities to cook, as 'kitchen' was stated in list of amenities. Must also add that walk to the ferry is closer to 10 minutes than 2.

    Dug2018-03-26T00:00:00Z

  • The house was great, clean and with all what you need to feel at home. There is a small garden on the canal where you can relax in sunny days. We organised our stay at very last minute, but Nico was very supportive in managing it and organising the check in. It is not close to the city center, you need ca. 45 minutes to go there with bus/metro, but the bus station is less than 5 minutes walk from the house, so fine as well.

Welcome to 'the Aquarius', our beautiful houseboat in Amsterdam! 'The Aquarius' is a peaceful place to relax on board or in the garden, on our terrace or enjoy a swim in the canal. The boat is located at the NDSM wharf, a hipster hotspot with an industrial feel with lots of activities, start-ups, festivals, hotels, creative companies. ‘The Aquarius’ is also very close to the city centre. Crossing the IJ-river with the (free) ferries is a great experience! Free car parking!
The Aquarius is a houseboat with 4 split-levels. Due to the many windows, the light is amazing. It has two bedrooms with both single beds. In the living room there’s a double bed. We use one room to store all the stuff you don’t need during your stay. The kitchen is complete. There's a lot of space outside to hang around. We have a hammock to chill out all day. We have a canoe that you can use. We have all sizes of life jackets (also baby/ child sizes) that you can use if you want. In the street where we live there's also a playground where you can play football, tabletennis and basketball. Also for smaller children this playground is great! We have an alarm system that we will explain to you on your arrival.
The boat is located at the NDSM wharf. NDSM area is a hipster hotspot with lots of activities, start-ups, festivals, hotels, creative companies and hotspots like Noorderlicht, De Ceuvel and urban beach Pllek. • We were two couples, and tried AriBnb the first time. We have spent our vacation on Nicole's beautiful houseboat in Amsterdam Noord. The houseboat is a very special place and absolutely no comparison to a hotel. Everything has a very exceptional character, sleeping without street noise, the minimum fluctuation of the boat and the connection to the nice garden have beautified our stay. However, the location of the House boat is the best, it is far enough away from the city, but within 10 minutes with the free ferry you can be directly in the Centre of Amsterdam!! We are very thankful that we got the possibility to enjoy our trip to amsterdam in this amazing houseboat and would really like to come back again! :)

Welcome to this sailing ship from 1897 in Amsterdam, and now functioning as a group-accommodation at a spot where it's hip! In the summer months, the boat sails on the Wadden Sea as a charter. With a cosy interior and pleasant atmosphere you feel at home right away. The NDSM area is a new hotspot of Amsterdam, in a view minutes you walk to the free ferry's which will take you to the centre of Amsterdam! Hope to see you aboard!
The boat has a living space where it is very nice to stay. With a group you get immediate atmosphere that will feel at home and together. The boat is also very populair by families with children.
The Boreas is located on a private jetty on the authentic old shipyard the NDSM-wharf in Amsterdam North. You are only 9 minutes away from central Amsterdam by ferry. The NDSM area emerged the last five years as one of the hippest and most creative neighborhoods in Amsterdam. In the summertime there are festivals organised every weekend, and in the winter there are all creative and cultural events in the huge warehouses. The location is awesome - you can take the ferry for free wich leads you directly into the centre. Still there are very cool bars and restaurants right next to the boat.
  • All of us would like to thank Grietje for her friendly welcome on board of Boreas It is really a nice way to spend a w.e for a family (even if there are 16 members!) The third generation playing on the deck, the second having a party in the "carré" and the third one sleeping in their cabin! We are ready to come again

    Michel Et Eliane2015-04-08T00:00:00Z
  • Our group was there for a weekend for a music festival, and overall we had quite a good stay. The boat was just like described in the pictures and the airbnb listing, apart from the wifi not working. Grietje was a very friendly host, gave us information about surrounding area, and we even did a small boat trip in an Amsterdam canal/river on the last day. Staying in a boat has some peculiarities (like if too many people shower around the same time, you might have to wait a bit for the water drainage to be pumped out), but overall we found it's a good choice of accommodation for a large group. We would stay there again.

    Bruno2016-02-29T00:00:00Z

Staying on our sailing ship is a truly unique experience, not only is it comfortable and one of the cheapest and nicest spots to stay with a larger group, it has everything you need while being away from home. It's located in Amsterdams 'up & coming' NDSMdistrict, that's packed with old warehouses, graffiti arts and plenty of cultural cafes and restaurants, within walking distance. The free ferry will get you from the ship to central station and thus downtown within 10 minutes.
Experience the life on the water in the centre of Amsterdam on board of sailing ship the LOTUS (build in 1889) The LOTUS has a large living room with an fully equipped open plan kitchen and a beerdraft. There are 8 cabins all of them which have comfortable made beds, towels and hot & cold running water. Feel free to contact us to discuss all the possibilities to make your visit to Amsterdam as enjoyable and comfortable as possible.
The former NDSM Amsterdam ship wharf is a stunning hangout. Just 10 minutes by free ferry from Amsterdam Central Station. A former shipyard located on the banks of the River IJ in Amsterdam Noord, the NDSM Wharf has blossomed into an enormous cultural hotspot in recent years with a vibrant artist community and an ever-expanding variety of bars and restaurants. With grounds exceeding the size of ten football pitches, the area hosts multi-disciplinary festivals, performances, exhibitions, dance parties and a wide range of other events in unique, post-industrial surroundings.

  • We had a great time at Olaf's ship. Next to the city, we stayed at our own in at the beautiful Lotus. Olaf was helpful in every situation.

  • The boat was amazing, just what I had imagined. Perfect for big groups (up to 20 people) and it was very easy to hop on a bus (comes every 10 mins) to get to the city center. The living area is very comfortable and all the appliances worked beautifully. There were only 2 bathrooms and 2 showers, which is probably the only downside (although still manageable). Overall I had a great experience Olaf, he lives in another section of the boat, so he was always around if we needed him!!

Welcome on board! If you’re looking for a compleet and cosy ship, look no further. This is the place to stay. The “Zuiderzee” was build in 1892. On board you will find an attractive guest room. In the morning I'll serve you a complet breakfast.
The “Zuiderzee” is the eldest barge of the fleet and was launched in 1892. In 1978, the tjalk was rigged again and equipped for cruising. In 2014 again a make-over without the lost of atmosphere. On board you will find an attractive and spacious guest room, which is very cosy because of its remarkable characteristic form. There is a fully-equipped kitchen and a simple bathroom. The ship can accomodate 10 people (sleep). But with 8 to 10 people it's not so crowded.
Ship is situated near the centre of Amsterdam. Shops, restaurants and public transport are just around the corner.

  • We were a group of six guys and spent three days on the Zuiderzee around the time of New Years Eve. Skipper Olaf is a great host. He also sleeps at his ship, which is 150 years old but seemed to be in a nice constitution. Olaf prepared breakfast with eggs and bacon for us and welcomed us with Oliebollen (a delicious pastry from the netherlands) when we arrived. There is no shower on the boat but it doesnt really matter, one minute to walk there is a gym with showers which we used during our stay. The tram is also only two minutes to walk. The ship lays not so far from the city center. The Tram takes 10 minutes to Waterlooplein and to the main station you can walk in 30 minutes. The ship is of course narrow and a little bit rustic. But it is something particular to stay there. We really enjoyed our time. Esepecially at night it was completely silent and everybody slept very well. I can recommend Olaf and his ship we had a great time on the Zuiderzee!

  • This made our trip to Amsterdam extra interesting, and we really enjoyed it. It was a nice quiet place to sleep after experiencing the craziness of the city. Loved having "our" home be a boat for a few nights.

  • We enjoyed staying on the boat, it was perfect for a 10 person group of friends. The breakfast was great.

  • Olaf was a great host, very patient even if we made him wait more than an hour because of traffic and still welcomed us with a huge smile :-) The boat was faithful to description, well equipped for 10 people and super original for a weekend between friends. Olaf prepares a generous breakfast in the morning that is a delight around the central table. I would definitely recommand this to anyone looking for a fun location.

  • To stay on this boat is recommendable for people who like to have an experience of living on a houseboat like this. If you expect a high level of luxury you should choose another location. We got what we have expected and we're not disappointed. Olaf is a very nice person who made every morning a great breakfast for us. We could ask him everything and he was giving us good tips of interesting locations in Amsterdam. Every time time again.

Welcome aboard of our ship 'Waterwolf'! She was build in 1898 and completely renovated to host a total of 26 guests comfortably in a classic setting. This includes comfy beds, a cozy large common room with a beerdraft and a big proffesional kitchen, in one of Amsterdams booming area's, close to the city center!
What greater way to visit Amsterdam then staying together on a antique & luxurious sailingship? Not only is it cheaper then any of the hotels in town but you also have your own kitchen, sitting area & 4 bathrooms! While staying in an part of Amsterdam that is unique, artistic with plenty of bars & restaurants and just a free ferry ride away from Central station and downtown Amsterdam!
Our ship is moored in the NDSM area, the NDSM shipyard in Amsterdam Noord is a rugged, adventurous and iconic area on the IJ. The free character, the post-industrial buildings and the creative atmosphere form the backdrop where culture, self-organization and urban development come together.
  • We had a great week-end in Amsterdam. The owner of the boat was very quick to answer any questions we had, the place was clean when we arrived and is exactly as described in the website. We had a very warm welcoming too, always nice with us and offering any tips or advise we could ask for. Would definitely recommend it.

    Brand new family home!
Welcome to our home. For the last few years we were busy building our own dreamhouse and it is just finished! Our home has everything you might need for a perfect family getaway. NOTE: We only rent our home to families with children. We live in a special neighborhood where everyone designed their own house. The result is a great mix of different styles. Our home is totally finished and comfortable to live in, the neighborhood is still upcoming and there is still some construction going on. Even though, visiting Amsterdam, you will find this place quiet and relaxing. Our house is located in Amsterdam Noord (North) which is booming! Great places to visit all around. Walking distance to the park with playground for children and NDSM wharf with nice cafe's and hangouts, i.e. Pllek and Noorderlicht. Only 5 minutes by bike to Eye Film museum, A'dam Tower, (architectural price winning) pool Noorderparkbad and the ferry (pont) to the city centre . Only 10 minutes by bike or 15 minutes by bus and subway to Amsterdam Central Station and Dam square will take you just a couple minutes more. Or take a bike ride towards northern Amsterdam with it's dyke houses and lovely little villages like Durgerdam and Holysloot in the middle of typical dutch grasslands. We have build a house quite unique in Amsterdam. It is spacious (200+ m2), we have no upstairs or downstairs neighbors (noise is not a problem) and a garden with our own parking spot. The house has a fully equipped kitchen with all the utensils you might need, a very spacious living room with a fireplace and a dining area. We have a small children's table where children love to draw or paint at. Upstairs you will find all the bedrooms: on the 2nd floor a children's rooms with a little bed (up to 10 years), a children's room with a larger bed (90x200cm) and a room with a toddler bed and a large bed (140x200cm). On the 3rd floor the master bedroom, which has a comfortable double bed (180x200cm). We have lots of books to read aloud (dutch) and toys to play with: board games, puzzles, a small kitchen, wooden train, duplo and lego. On top of we have a net between the 1st and 2nd floor where you can play in (very safe construction). Note: we don't have children safety fences at our stairs The house has two comfortable bathrooms with a shower and bath. Our garden is still only grass and a sandpit and is perfect for kids to play in. Both neighbors are good friends of ours and for now we share our 3 gardens (no fence in between). We have a couple of bikes. We are willing to share if that is convenient. We will provide you with more detailed information about the house and neighborhood by arrival.
The house is nearby the Amsterdam Central Station (the free ferry will take you there in 10 minutes) and is situated in the Amsterdam North next to the famous former NDSM wharf. The most trendy new bars and restaurants are at walking distance (Adam Tower, Eye, Hotel de Goudfazant, Pllek, FC Hyena, Cafe Modern, De Ceuvel). There is a traditional market around the corner, but also lots of green parks and nature. The area is perfect for people who want to explore the new cool spots. You can also do a bicycle ride to Durgerdam, which is a must do in Amsterdam Noord! You will see romantic old dyke houses and a picturesque side of Amsterdam and The Netherlands that will amaze you.
