No previous skills are required. • I’ll welcome you to the studio and share a little about our family’s sculpting legacy, including our artistic process, inspirations, and current works in progress. • You’ll watch a live demonstration of marble carving, learning about the traditional tools and techniques used by Greek sculptors throughout history. • Now it’s your turn! Make your own dough from scratch and roll it out. • Together, we’ll prepare a seasonal hortopita (wild greens pie), assembling both a large communal pie and personal mini pies. You’ll learn the basics of screen printing and leave with a handmade souvenir capturing Kypseli’s charm. • At my workshop, Kypseli Print Studio, I’ll share an overview of the session and its connection to the neighborhood’s iconic doors. • Select a ready-made stencil featuring one of the doors, from Art Deco to modernist designs. I’ll guide you through the basics of ink application and the screen-printing process. • Create your own prints with your chosen design on a set of postcards with a colour of your choice. I’ll provide tips on how to print these designs well, achieving a clean, professional look. You’ll leave with unique handcrafted mementos of Kypseli’s rich architectural heritage, as well as a link to my personalized online map of the doors to further explore the area.

Join me at my ceramics studio in the historic Keramikos district, where pottery has flourished since ancient times. Inspired by the myth of the Minotaur, I’ll lead you in a hands-on workshop that invites you to create while connecting with Greek history and art. • I’ll welcome you with some local Greek snacks, juices, and coffee, as I introduce the history of Keramikos and its ties to Greek pottery. • Next, I’ll share the captivating story of the Minotaur, a mythical creature symbolizing desire and human challenges. We’ll draw inspiration from this legend to craft four individual relief tiles, which you’ll be able to take home to use as coasters or wall art. • Then, working collaboratively, we’ll combine your individual tiles so they become part of a larger unified, shared creation. You’ll take home a ceramic souvenir crafted by me, along with photos of your work and the group’s project. Together, we’ll spend the day combining creativity with mythology, leaving you with memorable ceramic art and a deeper appreciation for Greek culture.

Sample olives, oil and honey from a farmer and local barrel wine made on the tavernas premises. On tours starting at 3.00pm , the fish and meat market are starting to close so we go quickly to see as much as possible. On Sundays and weekly tours starting after 3.30pm markets ARE SHUT so on this tour we will visit a taverna and eat traditional Athenian food and go to a spice shop and a honey and olive oil producer to taste these amazing products! We will enjoy a fantastic deli with a cured meat and cheese tasting and sample Greek coffee and fruits from a local producer. Many tastings offered including sit down meals of meat and fish on all our tours, as you learn about Greek culture from people who live it daily.
